Never dropped a wheel, but my old Saitek Joystick. Scratched, but everything worked like it should.
Whats most damaged on my wheel is the plugs on the wheel itself. I installed a switch into the power cable so that I can power up the wheel after screwing it to the table, without the need to unplug the cable all the time. Atm I think about soldering the pedal connector directly to the wheel base, as that stupid plug keeps unplugging itself
If they manage to screw up even the name of the device I wouldn't trust that china charger anywhere near my car Probably molten up soda cans in that thing
Its interesting to think about how such a system works. In real life it relies on data coming from wheel speed sensors, g-sensors and so on, but in a game these values can be taken directly from the engine and would be (sort of) too correct for an accurate real life simulation. So they have to build in noise onto these values ... can anybody follow my thoughts?
Yes. 202cm to be exact after getting up in the morning.
Regarding this topic here the VW Lupo still is a great car for tall people (more driver space than the current Audi A6), and if you need even more space try a Golf Plus. That's one car I don't need to adjust the seat as far back as possible.
well in my case that does not really help, I got 1 meter in just my legs alone, sitting in a car like that feels probably like sitting in a gyno chair, not that I could operate it even if I fold myself in (and my size 50 feet don't help either ). I tried a lot of smaller (sports-)cars on the IAA in Frankfurt, of the lot the last-gen MX-5 was barely big enough.
I wonder how many people who whine here have ever been at a race and have heard what different car types sound like and just how loud they are. There just is no comparism of being at the track and watching a broadcast. I haven't heard a modern F1 car in real life yet, but F3000s, which used the Cosworth DFV from '80s F1. You don't hear a car like that, you feel it
Important documents (but none with important personal data) are stored on my dropbox.
Other Documents, Music and Photos on one external drive (plus most of it duplicated on my laptop), Movies and Series on another.
Once a week Windows sets a restore point on a second small internal HD installed solely for Backups. The last restore point gets deleted. Just saved my ass a few days ago when a driver update caused havoc.
Thats pretty much it, but I like to store financial stuff etc. in printed form. I don't do online banking
Normal daily university student life, bit of stuff happening in my reallife, but still enjoy an hour of racing on cargame.nl every other day, a little AC (still under 8 hours of total playtime).
Yesterday and today there's the 12h of Sebring blaring through my flat, on the last 8 minutes now
