so my youtube account has a G+ account now .. its not connected to anyone, not identifiable as myself , I have no contacts or circles or whatever Google calls "friends" on their system, so I don't really care I have to say I like that its easier to follow conversations in the youtube comments now
but vtec is not just a vvt (variable valve timing) system, as it changes to a complety different camshaft profile, while vvt systems rotate the existing cam profile a few degrees. But you are right, today almost all manufactures have some sort of variable timing and lift system.
how is working for you with multiple input devices? Couldn't get the tech demo to work with my DFGT/Sidewinder based setup, and neither got a reply after the "we will look into it" post, nor could I work it out myself
doing this the DIY way as usual, got a used Recaro for cheap from a friend, in good condition apart from a cigarette burn. Adapter to fix it to the (very sturdy 30 year old) chair base on the left is being made atm.
Only thing I hope is that they get the sound right at some point. It's the big no-go for the game atm for me. And I don't mean specific sound for the new Premium cars, but the overall sound engine.
IMO GT6 with its 1k of cars could really use an LFS style synthesiser sound engine. Enter displacement, engine form, cylinder number and - boom - sound that's somewhat fitting. You can't expect them to record 1k cars for the game(s).
supporting old hardware is one of the key features of LFS, so keep that.
Am I guessing right that supporting 3D technology is is also part of the strategy to make LFS a great sim for exhibition and full-motion-sim use? Saw LFS running on some sort of sim rig on probably half the fairs I went to in the last years.
