and it sounds so boring, just like the Camry that engine once came out of. PMD, do you still have those Evora GTE onboards somewhere that were posted on you youtube channel? Those should make a good base for a sound pack.
Surprised about how stable the performance is even with all 12 AIs in view. The E30 race is a blast, even tho they still almost kick my ass on "medium" The 500 Abarth race is bumper cars at its finest, and lets not talk about the Supercar challenge ...
hmm, I haven't heard those news anywhere in our (serious) media. Last reports I saw were about some videos that showed how Michael crashed, nothing else.
~700 € a semester here, or to be precise only the next semester, since student fees have been abolished in my state from summer 2014 on. Yay communism.
Student fees in the US are astronomical. Would be cheaper for you to come over here to study.
Still the average student does not have a car, and those that do have Twingos, Polos, or handmedown wagons from their parents.
Dfgt seems to be a little problematic, I have one too. I have to go into the wingman software, onto the Global settings page, change the wheel rotation to say 899° and back to 900°, click Ok before I start AC from Steam, or the game will start with the wheel in 360° mode
edit: I too only power it up (and thus calibrate) when I want to play (I built a switch into the cable)
Wankels are great and rather fuel efficient within a rather small power band, that why they still get used for aircraft and generators. Mazda could keep one onboard running say a steady 8k rpm coupled to a generator, feeding full electric motors :twirl: (would this be allowed? Don't know the regs that well)
yeah, but what engine configuration? N/A V8 like Toyota, or V6, or smaller turbo V6, or Deltawing-like turbo inline-4? And what sort of Hybrid system. I'm just a sucker for race car tech
Apparently I was wrong with Mazda canning the wankel: article
Didn't Mazda experiment with Hydrogen burning Wankels for some time, and even offer a Mazda 6 model with on on thier home market? Hydrogen, by burning much faster and cleaner than petrol, could work quite well in a wankel ...
wanted to watch the race today, but after one hour the stream just stopped and a schedule for the next appeared
about Nissan joining WEC: Well, when one japanese manufacturer joins a series a second will often follow. I'm rather curious on what technology Nissan will use.
Is Mazda still evaluating WEC? I know the rotary development was canned altogether, but their Skyactive engine technology could be showcased here as well.
Need a little help setting up my DFGT. Atm their is a lot of rattling around the neutral position, and I don't know which settings I should make to all the "gamma" Filter and whatnot in the Steering options
5XX sound is addicting, surprisingly controllable on Joux Plane. But I haven't made a clean run with anything other than the Fiat 500 yet (no full hour of playtime yet)
Finally got AC since .. two hours ago, what a phenomenal game/sim. First track I tried was Joux Plane with the P4/5, got stuck in a hairpin
But I understand what you're feeling there. But for me at least its partly because the tracks we have for now are sort of "clinical", and I don't really have a sort of connection to all those italian tracks.
btw, what a difference that flip size queue thingy makes
edit: in direct comparism to LFS the AC engine sound is a little unsatisfactory. I mean its really nice when you go WOT down a straight, but tip-toeing round a corner with like 20% throttle it sounds off, not fitting for the load state the engine should be in. LFS does this better. The gear whine on the other hand is really nice and changes upon load
Saw The Physician (Der Medicus) last weekend, surprisingly good film. While its at heart a German production all the main actors are rather big names from the UK and Hollywood (Ben Kingsley, Stellan Skarsgard, Emma Rigby etc; produced in English and dubbed as usual for uzz Germanzz). It discards big portions of the book (the whole trip from the UK to Persian shores) but is still 150 min long.
If you liked Kingdom of Heaven for its setting you'll like this one too
its like with VOB-mods in LFS ... easy to obtain with a little googlefu, but nothing to share on the official forums. Kunos would be stupid if they never anticipated content being imported into their game.
Hmm, difficult topic. Guess Kegetys did that track more or less to test whatever the conversion routine he wrote, and chose RBR because it basically is a dead game from a dead studio (so like 2x as dead as LFS :P ) that still lives through an active community.
Whats Kunos' take on converted content? Wasn't even Eric OK with people converting his LFS cars to other games as long as you gave him and his game credit? Found an FZR model for Trackmania once that ticked all those boxes.
