Quote from BlueFlame :Must be rare then, I've never seen one

There's actually quite a lot of them around, I actually don't even know why the GTi was ever given the 2.0 8v lump, even the 1.8 non turbo is faster (20v kicks it's asssss) But yea, nowadays since they are quite cheap to buy there are pleanty of 1.8turbos kicking around, same engine as in the audis too.

I think I read from someone that the turbo GTi's have 180bhp, not all of them do, even some GTis only have the 150bhp engine, though the 25th anniversary version obviously has the 180bhp one, <droooool>

Quote from BastianB :A

The actual Polo GTi has a 1.8l 150 HP Turbo Engine.

That defenetly sounds fun and i have to say that i really like the design of the Polo.

Was looking for the new Opel (Vauxhall) Corsa OPC. This thing is a beast with its 190 HP but i don´t like how it looks from the Outside / Inside

The polo GTi is 1.8turbo??!?!?!!? Ah, I just done some research and found that's the 06-09 model, I don't think he was meaning the newest one, I got the impression he was on about the 2000-2002 model which has a 1.6 125bhp engine.

Quote from BastianB :^lol

I was thinking about buying me an VW Polo GTi the last few days. Already found some good offers.

So did anyone of you Guys drive one, or actually own a Polo GTi?

Searching for a small but sportive car, that shouldn´t be too expensive

I used to know a guy with one, he loved it but I think he got kinda bored after a while and the space isn't very good, though you will be surprised at just how much you can fit in a Polo. I'd love to have one, I think it's 120bhp form the 1.6 which in such a small car would for sure be pleanty of fun. Though the guy I knew sold it and got a Leon Cupra, Good swap imo, maybe you should look into the 1.8 turbo Golfs or Audi A3's? I think the prices may be around the same or less depending how many miles at has etc.

I found a great new way to get mega kills, marathon, lightweight, take the MP5K and a pistol, just run for your life and stab everyone and anyone.

Generally in the maps you can run around the back of where the players mainly spawn, so you can get quite a few of them camping around in obvoious places waiting for plaers coming from the front, lolz!

Then when you kill some with the MP5K you get akimbo and that is just great fun!

The majority of them are dirty bastards, I used to own a silver golf mk4, GTi alloys and rear lights, full silver, very clean looking car. It was an R reg, the very first of the mk4's to come out. In Cumbernauld there was masses of police cars and bikes going around from Thursday to Monday, I have no idea why but i heard it was some sort of training thing.

Anyway, was heading up to my friends house, Friday night, drive by a BMW speed cop about 100m from the slipway to the motorway, they just look at me, didn't follow me etc. So I get on the motorway just cruising up the road, I know there are more police around so i take it easy when I see flashing lights and a police car flying up behind me, after blinding the **** outta me I pulled over and they searched the car, checked the tyres, my licence, all the usual shit.

Then they ask me into the back of the car, I ask them why I was pulled over and they claim it was because my car was "pre registered" because they didn't make the Mk4 golf in an R reg. (R is late 1997-March 1998 iirc) Eventually, after all the crap questions about who owns the car and what not, I was allowed to go, somewhat annoyed at the way they handled things but meh, atleast I didn't have a bald tyre or anything.

Then I drove through about 40 feet on bus lane coming up to a set of traffic lights because I was turning left and all the cars ahead were turning right, where I stopped at the lights was about 100feet from where the buslane ended. Though the police who saw me do it still decided to stop me and give me a £30 fine for it. Because I really can't be arsed with any trouble I just paid it.

THIRD story (:razz a friend of mine (well a guy I play in a pool team with) has a BMW X5 and the police pulled him over for "driving over a mini roundabout" even though he only just touched it with his wheels (Some are very tight and near impossible to stay off of) the police wrote on his ticket that he "disrespected the highway code" or some bullshit, so he didn't take the fine and is taking them to court, hes lucky enough to have enough money to hire one of the best lawyers around. Not so much to evade the £30 fine but now thet he didn't pay the fine he could actually get points on his licence if it doesn't go his way, which for someone with 9 points isn't very good.

Anyway, i've had my speel, Kev and Beck can go back to arguing now, HF.

Your both wrong, In both GT1 and GT2 there will be some people who are just naturally daft when it comes to overlapping or being overlapped, ontop of that even the most experienced people in MoE can make mistakes, especcially on such a track like Westhill.

Quote from BoneCrusher : not about knowledge of the setup

It's not about the knowledge, it's about trying out new things, spending the time testing things to see how they work, so really it's time and effort that's being extracted, not so much knowledge.

Quote from BlueFlame :I thought you were talking about VAG clutch, but I just realised now you were talking about a Rover clutch. I guess now you own something that isn't VAG you are kinda seeing that there aint no better cars right?

No, I was talking about the Vag clutch, On the VAG forums most people on there that have had their car remapped to it's full potential have either upgraded the clutch or drove it for 6 months and then had to replace it.

If the scummy rover had 130bhp i'd probarly have kept it, but the amount of money they wanted for a scummy 100bhp car was a joke.

That really sucks Ian, such a lovely car too....

Hope it all gets sorted out soon.

Nice, wouldn't mind one myself, indeed an FR would be awesome, though you should look into the ibiza TDI sport, the insurance on them is as low as my old ZR 1.4...... They are 130bhp but can be remapped up to 180bhp, though I wouldn't put it past 160 so as not to feck up the clutch.

You should maybe look into the chips or a remap for yours, should be able to get 140bhp out of it np.

Quote from Commander :Slight correction deko:

Although we raced together in sort of the same room, we both had our own computer set up there so we could use the ingame LFS swap function.

What makes me wonder though is: Would it be allowed in MoE if two drivers share one PC and therefore one account? Of course we would then document the driver swaps with a camera to ensure that the 45% rule is not violated.

It's actually been done before has it not? I can remember a team asking permission to do this because they were having a LAN party at the same time as the MoE, all they done was change names.

Can't remember who it was, I think it was Jet_CZE and his team but i'm really not sure.

Regardless, I love the leons, will hopefully be going back to a golf or leon as soon as I get rid of the current turd.
