Quote from Scawen :

BlueFlame, maybe you can do what I suggested to Dustin but he seems unable to control himself... just unsubscribe and keep out.

I think that's good advice.

But to clarify Deko there's only one game I dislike and that's iRacing. Everything else is entirely bearable.

Quote from CrAZySkyPimp :You do know you get all 4 versions of it when you buy 1 right? Take the track version for a spin, you'll fall in love.

You mean you get 2 fake models that don't exist in reality? That's value for money right there.

Quote from ACCAkut :define "shittiest." I don't see much kiddi porn or gore on reddit.

You haven't looked around that much then. Reddit is just like 4chan except it's not full of trolls, it's full of srs people.

Quote from Töki (HUN) :Great skins! I wanted to make that Petronas one, but I decided to do a K&N livery instead.

I also made some skins lately, though I didn't post them in this thread, check them here.

Top job on that K&N skin. Wow. That looks so hot.

Quote from DeKo :Con-men implies they're taking our money and giving us nothing in return, which is clearly not the case no matter how deluded against iR you are.

No, a Con-man is someone who essentially promises one thing for a price and never fulfills that promise with the intention to never fulfill that promise. The fact iRacing claims to be a true simulator is the biggest con of them all.

Quote from tinvek :
only reason i ask is that you seem to be obsessed with something you claim to not like

Well it is kind of frustrating when you see innocent well-meaning people giving money to con-men.

Quote from CodeLyoko1 :even though 1/3rd is Lithuanian, 90% of the bad things that happened is caused by a single Dutchmen

Whatever happened to Gerben anyway?

Quote from seniecka :Maik did a tremendous tribute to Tomek right after tragic news were published, but somehow, as an editor I felt a responsibility to do a tribute video by my own, as well. It's no doubt that it has been a big honor to meet our Tomek, to race along with him, to chat with him and to share common values - simracing and motorsport, in general.
I would like to steal some precious time from you and invite you to take a look at my project, which I dedicate to our Senna, our friend - Tomek.

This is Assetto Corsa based project. Driven around Tomek's most favourite track - Imola with powerful Ferrari 599XX. Enjoy.

THE ITALIAN DRIVE
(edited by Skirmantas Stankevičius)

I know Phil Diaz has teh replay of Tomeks lap with the GT3 Z4 around Imola, maybe worth asking him for it.

Edit : didn't read the last bit... yea... that bit with the huge text...

Well I don't want to be pretentious in speaking for IMOL but I know that you [Dennis] were one of the reasons that Tomek kept racing in LFS.

I understand the lack of motivation. I lost it too after this news but our plan was to race the 24 and close the doors on LFS for good and that is what we shall do. Hope we will see you guys in the 24. I know it takes alot of effort but it really would be the best way to close the doors as you say and move on.

Quote from MoMo92i :LMP cars have carbon fiber crashbox that collapse, DP don't and basically their front was use as an LFS ramp. You said he was saved by the cockpit? It looks that it nearly killed him...Look where the tube is. That's definitely not as strong a state of art carbon fiber LMP chassis. if this crash happened with a LMP car the Ferrari would have not been lifted up, the crashbox of the LMP2 would have made the job to absorb the kinetic energy. The difference between DP and LMP2 is called FIA crash test.

An open top LMP carbon tub won't save your head from a car riding up your nose... An LMP2 closed car is probably better equipped sure.. but there were only two of those at the 24 [both Mazdas]. So law of averages suggests that if an LMP2 car was to hit that 458, the driver would be in a much more horrendous state.

The type of incident that it was, ANY open top car would of been a coffin.

Quote from MoMo92i :I still don't understand why NASCAR sticked to DP....that Corvette was just completely smashed and it was pure luck that Memo Gidley didn't die.

At least LMP cars can fly and no one hurt...plus they look much more 2014s, I'm not talking about how the BoP is ridiculous. DP pulling 1s away in the oval section and LMP2 catching into the technical sections and braking zone. DP got advantage at Daytona because of power but might be much slower into some more technical tracks.

At least this race confirmed that no way we see DP in Le Mans!

Errr.. If it was an LMP2 car [except the Mazdas] that hit that stationary 458 it most certainly would have been fatal since the 458 lifted up. What you would have seen would be nothing short of a decapitation. What saved Gidley was most definitely that it was a closed cockpit.

Caterham design I like, obviously not asthetically, but the fact that didn't just 'stick a dildo' on the end to conform with regs and basically be lazy about the design. They have a dildo fully intergrated.

I was thinking the same when I saw this image.

A car used to have to get up at least 400 mm before it would be ontop of someones nose, now it only has to be 150mm before this Toro Rosso for example lifts up another car right into the drivers head.

Quote from IsaacPrice :Why would people be scared of racing Imol and Dennis? It's not like GT1WS and GT2WS suffered because ineX was the standard for everyone to beat last year - or DWC suffers because Greger is the standard to beat there. If anything GT1 in GTWS suffers because that isn't there. All the races have been won by teams that have only done 1 race, and the last 2 of them had 1 driver who was only preparing the day of the race - which shows that the rest of the grid can't be preparing that much, atleast as a team - you're only as good as your worst driver afterall.

For the record in my opinion the reason GT2 is popular is because it's easier to be prepared for it, so it appeals to the less experienced because it's the ideal stepping stone to learn, and the experienced guys that are driving it are driving it because their motivation isn't as high as it used to be, and it's easier to be prepared and get the satisfaction from driving in a GT2 than a GT1. The reality is that GT1 isn't that different, and you only learn bad habits by driving GT2(bad throttle control techniques work in GT2 but not GT1, easier to get a decent setup) and that's about the only difference between the 2.

I suppose you're right. Although the further back in LFS history you go, the harder the competition was anyway.

Quote from ImudilaSkyline :but if it's so easy for you then it shouldn't take too much effort from you, should it?

I feel taking a piss is easy, doesn't make me a world champion at it though does it?
