I uninstalled, and reinstalled the gfx drivers, and it's fixed.
But a friend did tell me he'd had the same problem in the past, and (he couldn't remember precisely) reinstalling certain LFS files was enough.
Jonas, could you try changing track with high quality graphics again, and once the track is done changing check that your wheel still lags? Then, alt-tab out of LFS, alt-tab back into LFS, and check if that fixes the lag?
A hotkey, or a way to select an entire F12 preset with one of the ALT/CTRL-F# keys would be useful for those races you just don't get enough time to work the F12 menu.
Mid-race, the screen froze, so I alt-tabbed and killed the process. Now I get this stop-error when LFS starts.
I've seen threads about this error mention those occurences were on the very first time LFS ran, but I've been using it without getting this problem before, for a long time.
Is there a way to fix it without recycling the graphics drivers? My graphics card is not in the nvidia drivers' list of supported hardware.
Why are you pressing refresh?
The tweak settings will appear in LFS the next time you come out of the pits. So make your settings in Tweak, then pit in (press shift-s), pit out (Enter or click OK), and it should work..
"ST has to be watched to gain citizenship"
What do you mean by that Becky?
8MM 2 and American Psycho 2 are two other unbelievably bad sequels... I can't think of any others, or any worse ones, but cheapness of the caliber of these two has to be seen to be believed.
Everyone knows that ST is originally by Heinlein, right?
Hyperactive, Toyota races the MR2 in a 300 or 500hp class (or both, I forgot), and I think the Amemiya (or something like that) base car is also just a tiny wheezer.
I do agree though, that we don't have enough players to add so many classes yet. In fact, I would say we need balanced classes with more cars in those classes.
Balancing them is the challenge... but unless you're a player that's out of touch with the design process of the game (that same gameplay dilemna - cant make too many classes), you will know that it's fair enough if each of those cars are better and worse on this or that track. If the average is equal.
Stang, do what you like, like what you do.
Others don't agree because they're not you.
Seriously... remember the reason why you first thought of doing this? That's why you're doing it.
Naysayers aren't a good reason to stop. You'll only know for sure it wasn't worth doing, after doing it.
You need to put that file in the LFSTweak directory.
That file is linked in this or another of the recent threads - all you have to do is read.
Should that not work, you might have to manually register the files.
If you don't have a license, though, it's all in vain. LFSTweak is only for licensed users. Buck up.
