Yes, Mario Kart is funny. Ferrari Challenge is so so. And there´s Excite Trucks and World Championship Offroad Racing.
These are all Arcade Racers in my eyes (Ferrari Challenge tries to be a sim, but it doesn´t work for me on the Wii).
I play Racing Games (Sim and Arcade) on the PC and play on the Wii what it´s good and unique for.
They plan to release Trackmania for the Wii, which could fit quite well if they do it right. Let´s see
I used mIRC too back in the days when we had to connect with 14400 Baud to the Internet. Today I don´t chat that much and the Opera built in Client is enough for me. I think I´m getting old
Thanks for posting the link. I love that footage. It´s unbelievable not that they drive that track with this fast cars, but that you can see the whole family watching the race. From the children barely 1 year old in Grandmas arms, the 2 boys looking curiously under the masked car and "Grandpa" playing a game of cards while sitting at the "Track".
I´m sure if this took part in Germany or in another "more northern" Country the race could never be started because of some retards sueing the organizer of the race because of the noise
If you mean that you can play online with S1 even if all the others have S2 then AFAIK yes if the Server is open for S1 (since you can only use S1 content). But you get the same (physics) patches like everyone else. Just not the content. This way S1 and S2 players can play together online. But I´m sure somebody will be either faster than me posting that or posting mor detailed info after I press the Submit button
Never EVER speak again about that chicane... dammit... I hate that !@%*§ Chicane! :chairs:
LOL, and I thought it´s only me... that chicane is insane. Either I go much too slow or I go "yes, smoooth... comeon... yess... i make it! I MAKE IT! I MAKE.... BOOOM... WTF!". I always lose my wheels there when I want to go fast. Luckily you can´t fall into the harbour like in Real life
Yes, it´s the Rallye Köln Ahrweiler. I can´t remember the year but I was there. The reverse Nordschleife is a part of a special stage. The rest of the rallye is around the streets of Nürburg. It´s a great Rallye with a lot of very cool old cars. I must have some Clips on my HD somewhere when I visited the Rallye.
Nice find, thank you very much
Edit: The part before they entered the Nordschleife is a road up from Adenau. When I went watching the Stage I somehow managed to get on that road and wondered why there´s no traffic. I gave my V8 the spurs and when reaching the part where they enter the Nordschleife I was shocked why there´s Audience standing on the hills. And then I realized that I entered the Stage just 30 minutes or so before they started :-/
I will NEVER EVER let him drive with my G25! I am sure when entering T1 at Blackwood RallyX my G25 Pedals will fall apart
That Footwork looks like fast forward... I´d do that in a real car, but never with the Toys I plug into my PC via USB
Looks like one of those polls where you can vote 1.000 times without the need of creating 1.000 accounts. It´s useless then, isn´t it? It just proves which "community" has the ability for the most Mousclicks/s
Hmm... a snake eating a bird? I can understand that you find that sad if you have a bird. Feelings are different then.
I once saw a Video (on youtube?) where a Pelican ate a pigeon. And that job wasn´t done in seconds. That looked very cruel.
Switched from Vista do W7 2 days ago when it was released on MSDN. Yesterday I installed all the Software I needed on my Company Laptop again and it feels definately faster. But I wouldn´t pay 1xx€ for it. If you get a new PC, then maybe with W7 if that´s possible (think you have to wait a few weeks / months). But it´s not worth paying that much money to upgrade IMHO.
Thanks for the Link. I have visited the site and decided to wait until the Final version is released.
@Dawes: Visit avsim.net. Their library is online again and there´s plenty to download (much crap as always on big sites, but always some really fine machinery).
I think this is Weekend of a Champion by Roland Polanski (he´s the other guy in that Video). Should be there on a VHS tape somewhere in the house. The complete film is much much longer and shows very nice details and cars from that race. And yes, you see all the other drivers too, but the film is focused on Jackie Stewart.
Looks like it´s driven with a E-Motor (if I understand the description correctly). This one is real running (with air). I also found a Video some time ago where somebody built a small Lego V8 into a Lego car which drove for a few minutes until it broke down
