The Website of my Dealer where I preordered said "Ordered, est. in stock at 27th Sept.". But nothing happened... until today. Now it says "ordered, est. in Stock 2nd November"

Yep, much work here too. The funny thing is that the Online Checking System at the IBM Website says that all my battery Packs are not affected (you can enter the Barcode Number). But the FRU / ASM Number says a different thing. When I have all Numbers together I will call IBM and see what they say about this.

I will get one I am sure. Because a Clutch + H-Shifter is a Dream I have since I have a Wheel (before the Dream was a Wheel when we had those Digital Joysticks on the C64 but you never get satisfied. I am sure the next Dream is a Force Dynamics LOL).

But I won´t preorder. When it´s there I will get one... maybe when I read one or 2 Reviews in some Forums. Just in case it´s crap but I don´t think so.

It doesn´t seem that they are giving it away free. Just GMax which is worthless because it doesn´t Open / Save .3DS Files... only that special GMax Format.

But on the Daz 3D Site you get Studio for free. It looks like some Poser style Software. http://www.daz3d.com/program/studio/1_0index.php

Man, I had damn luck on that Stage. I wrote it in the comments. After crashing into a tree my engine didn´t sound very good. And after a few corners it died completely. Luckily it was on that downhill section before the Finish

GB went better for me. But I don´t play RBR very much, just to don´t memorize the Stages. But it´s very interesting how different I drive in the Online Competition. When driving Offline I drive like a Maniac because I have nothing to loose. But when you make one big Mistake Online it could cost you many places. I love these Online Tournaments.

Just in case you didn´t: Try to search for the Eventlog Message at http://www.eventid.net. It´s a very useful resource and in most cases you can find the Error + multiple solutions.

I imported the Car in Bryce and it looks very good so far. So I think Bryce does the 3DS Import well enough to work with it.

Please, can you tell us "unworthy-wannabee-Render-Guys-using-Bryce" how you get that Models into Bryce? I can´t do it with the CMX23DS Converter, neither I was able to open the .max Scenes. I tried to find converted 3DS Files, but I had no luck

Hmmm... ready to use with 3DS i Guess. Bryce can not open .max Files. I tried it yesterday. It doens´t appear in the Filefilter when you want to import Objects. So I set the Filter manually to *.* and tried to open the .max File (hoped that it´s just a 3DS Format File). But it doesn´t work. I think the Bryce Users need a 3DS File to start trying rendering LFS Cars

OK, I got Bryce now and the CMX 2 3DS Converter + the CMX Files from the LFS Viewer. But I can´t convert the CMX Files to 3DS with the Converter. Maybe it was just made for S1 Models?

Sure I can set it in the Wingman Software. But that's not the Solution. Then I would have to exit LFS whenever I change the Car and set the new Turning Ratio in the Wingman Software AND in LFS again.

The Solution would be following:

1. You set the Wheel to 900 Degrees in the Wingman Software
2. Fire up LFS, set Wheel Turning to 900 Degrees and Wheel compensation to 1.0
3. Use one of the Cars and LFS stops your wheel when you reach the Turning limit of the Car used.
4. Use another Car (i.e. FO8) and LFS stops your wheel when you reach the Turning limit of THIS Car
5. etc...

In the PS2 Version of Richard Burns Rally it was like that. You configured the Game to i.e. 540 Degree Lock and then when you reached 540 Degrees the Wheel stopped because of some constant Force that was applied by the game.

If you reached the end of 540 Degrees I COULD turn it more because I am MAN and MAN is more STRONG than WHEEL *ugh*! illepall

But even when driving a Rally car very wild the Force applied at the 540 Degree Lock was strong enough.

THIS in LFS and the DFP / G25 support would be perfect. It´s just annoying when you have to look at the Wheel on the Screen to see when you have reached maximum Lock
But S2 is not finished yet and I have some hope :-)

Sounds like a good Idea. Before you start collecting anything I think there should be a OK from Scavier. Maybe they don´t want to have to do anything with the Nordschleife and then all that work would have been for nothing.

You simply press SHIFT+U while on the Track / Car Park / wherever. Then you can load Layouts. I am not sure, but I think it only works when you are in Single Player Mode. At least in the Hotlap Mode something did not work (maybe it was Laptimes or something like that).

I play GPL, RBR and... (you guessed it) LFS. I am not a Full Time player because I have to work a lot and other things to do. I love these 3 Sims very much, so from time to time I spend a few Minutes / Hours with them.

Sometimes I don´t touch one or to of the Sim for Months, but then I come back again and play it for a few weeks. As you may see, I am not a fast driver and I need some Time to adapt my Driving style to the different Sims. But all of these 3 Sims allow me to jump in just for a few Minutes or even for a few Hours when I want.

I don´t have to drive 1st Place to have fun, I just love driving and especially on the LFS Servers everytime I find some people who are as slow as me, so I get close Racing whenever I want.

I love LFS because I can do what I want. I can jump in in whatever Car / Track Combination I want and so Track Racing, Rally Cross, Autocross (which is massive fun for me!!) or just toss the car around the Track and do some wild things with it.

If you mastered GPL to stay on the Track you can for LFS too (especially after the last Patch, it´s so much better now). These 3 Sims (GPL, RBR, LFS) are all I need at the moment, because they cover all Racing I love so much.

I am with LFS since S1, but I had around 3 Months pause before the new Patch came and it´s more fun than ever before.

BTW: I have the DFP too, and besides RBR it´s THE Sim which makes the most out of this Wheel. With some cars you have to work like a Maniac if it gets sideways... it feels so great to have 900 Degrees :-)
