The Viper AW-VI 99 is from Zakspeed and one of two "Viperjets". This is the Taxi you can rent to get round the Ring. They have 2 of them. The Red White one and a Green White one. At least the Green White one is stripped down, with a Cage, deactivated Speedo, Shorter Gearbox and all such things... and it sounds Brutal. Especially when I sat in it flying over the Ring

Doukutsu Monigatari a.k.a. Cave Story. Don´t look at the Screenshots... download it and play it. In my Eyes it´s a true Masterpiece and one of the best Platformers ever released.

I voted for Wii + WiiFit and Wait for GTA IV on the PC.
For me the Consoles do not give much to me. I have a PS1 and the PS2 and I won´t buy the PS3 or a XBox 360. The Games I really want to play I get also on the PC. So there is no need for me to get one of those Graphics Monsters.
7 Months ago I purchased a Wii (got a nice Discount, otherwise it maybe would not have happened) and it was the best investment in a electronic Entertainment Device for years.
I don´t have much time to play Computer or on the Console. But when I have time and I don´t play LFS we (my GF and me) had alway problems finding Games which we could play together. There is not much on the PC.
Since the PC lacks of Multiplayer Games (on ONE PC) the Wii is perfect for us (and our friends). I never had so much fun infront of a Screen since the C-64 days where the bread box was hooked up to the TV and the whole Family + Friends played together. This is now back with the Wii and I won´t miss it.
So I use my PC for some special Games (Simulations, FPS etc...) and the Wii to play together. If I had purchased a PS3 or XBox360 I would have just another device which is used by myself alone.

That Steering Wheel would drive me crazy. How can somebody afford such a car and is not able to (let) the Steering Wheel align properly?

I am "buedi" and I will add some of you to my List. I was surprised that I saw you need to challenge Buddies even in the Single Player Mode to unlock some Tracks.

Sure? Watching the Video I think you would go through the trunk and immediately into the wall... well not immediately. But just after all those sharp Metal pieces cut you into 1.000 pieces... would be a big mess I suppose...

Joy2Key maybe? It´s a bit limited in Characters if you don´t have enough Buttons... but who knows?
If you want a Clutch and if you WILL use the H-Shifter even if it makes you slower on some Cars / Track Combos, then yes. I upgraded from the DFP to the G25. In Richard Burns Rallye and in all LFS Cars where I use Sequential / Paddle Shifters I was faster at the Moment I started to use the G25. But in the H-Shifter Cars I am always a bit slower. But it´s so much fun.
The Wheel feels great, more precise than my DFP and I love the Pedals. I am slower with the H-Shifter Cars now, but I use them the most of the time, because it´s so much fun.
So, it depends on you. If you won´t use Clutch + H-Shifter I think I would stick to the DFP and save that Money.
Ah and I forgot: RallyX in the RB4 with Clutch + H-Shifter and dancing on the Pedals like a Maniac is priceless :-)

What about Track Mania Nations? It´s free, you get Tons of Tracks to play Online... it´s my Arcade Racer from time to time since it has been released.

resent:They are still dumb as bread. You see it also when you do the Training Lessons (Overtake XY Lessons) when they crash into you. It´s really annoying. But then somebody will come and say it´s a Online Simulator

What you describe is modelled in Test Drive Unlimited. I like it, because a "misshift" takes a long time to shift right again. Currently you just press the clutch and off you go. Not in TDU. Would be nice in LFS too, so a +1

If it turns out that you will be using a new CMS / Blog System, whatever just go over to http://www.opensourcecms.com/. There you can try out the different Systems and just find out what you really need and which System gives you what you want. But beware, setting up a simple Site (if you want to alter it a bit) can be very time consuming. For my little Homepage which uses Textpattern it took me a Weekend to figure out how all works and how I can alter it to my needs.

The lack of "random Tracks" is why I play Richard Burns Rallye so unfrequently. Now I play it again, but it sat on my Harddisk for nearly a year untouched. I stop playing RBR when I realize that I memorized the Tracks. So after 9-12 Months I forgot enough to start again and I need to rely on the Co Pilots announcements. This makes it much more interesting.
It´s fun this way, but it makes you very uncompetetive when playing Online i.e. in the Czech RBR Tournaments.
This gets slightly OT, but it should show why Random Tracks are so important:
It´s a bit like Gronholm vs. Loeb last year. If you followed the WRC Season you could see that when a new Stage came Gronholm was moslty faster than Loeb. But when they drove the same Stage again on the same day Loeb was faster. I think Loeb is very good in memorizing Tracks. So if I had the chance to choose whith whom to drive on a completely unknown Track in a WRC Car with insane Speeds I would chose Gronholm

In Game Communication is done by FSInn I think. It found my TS itself and uses it. But keep in mind that you will have to turn your Radio (yes, the one in your Plane in Flight Simulator) to the correct Frequency. Otherwise you won´t hear anything (like in Reality)
It may be a good Idea to check some "local" Sites. On the Vatsim Page i.e. there is a Link to a European Community and from there I came to a German / Swiss / Austria Page. And they even offer Flight Lessons for Beginners up to pros. This is really amazing.
As JamesF1 said, it´s not a good Idea to "chat" in Vatsim... as it isn´t if you sit in a real Airplane ;-)
