3 Tipps to increase Fraps performance:

1) Half the record resolution
2) Assign both LfS and Fraps to different processor cores
3) Record the footage to another physical hard drive, not just another partition of the same hd or even the same partition on the same hd.

Quote from R34king :That first bit isnt really helping

Woah, I'm glad I didn't imply that.
If you want to use anti virus software, I can recommend Avira Antivir. Still, NO software is 100% safe, you still have to use common sense to not get infected, as long as you don't use a Mac or Linux.

The Colour of Magic

Quite enjoyable, if you can live with movies being different to the novels they're based on. And you have to like Terry Pratchett.

The best protection is using your brain before downloading things or clicking on links. If it's even remotely dubious, then don't do it.

If that fails, use linux.

Quote from zeugnimod :Well, the drummer and the singer at least definately are more than mediocre musicians, IMO.

And you can't deny that they have an awesome energy in their live performances, mediocre musicians or not.

I happened to see them once, back in 02, and I wasn't impressed. Of course, they might have improved tremendously over those 7 years, it's just that they don't "reach" me, I remain indifferent and bored.

Pah, if slipknot wouldn't wear masks, nobody would care. They're mediocre musicians at best.

Quote from The Very End :Would more gears help to increase the accleration?

Yes, because they can be set up to be tighter. With button clutch definately a big advantage.

Quote from CSU1 :
Playing on vet and normal easy mode is two totally different ball games, easy is good for a anger management session blowing the heck out of all in sight and vet requires understanding of exactly is being asked of you in the mission and where you primary goals are on map before you begin.

Even though I slightly suspect you're trying to be sarcastic, CoD never really needed any strategy to survive. Just click the enemie, who always spawn in the same doorways and windows, dead until noone moves, go on, repeat.

Quote from rich uk :Yay! Red Orchestra is amazing. have been playing i for years (since they used the UT 99 engine) and Berlin was a mans map!

Did you ever play TTR(The Third Reich) was amazing. Anyway sorry to hijack this thread.

The first RO version was a mod for UT 2k3, not UT99 :P I know, because I played it since version 1.2, and quite successfully to be honest

Never played TTR, but I did enjoy Infiltration back in those days

Except the part in the Ghillie Suit mission where you have to wait for extraction beneath the giant wheel, CoD4 isn't what I'd call hard...

But then, I spend most of my time playing very tactical fps games like Red Orchestra or ArmA (2), so I have rather well honded "stay out of fire" skills

It was $42 when I bought S2 and the last I checked currency conversions it was $48.

Nah, that's just the very weak pound.

Quote from breadfan : Sorry, but that one made me laugh No offense, my english is bad, you just cheered me up with that

...and the rest of you should know that the AI is perfect, it's just in the Michael Schumacher mode

That's actually latin and not english :P

Concerning the AI, I won't complain if it is improved, but I rather have multiplayer or physics relevant updates until the most urgent flaws are done with.

Well, I loved OFP, ArmA and now ArmA 2, and I think that those are the best games ever next to LfS and Red Orchestra.

But then, you need a lot of patience to play it. Not only does it run sluggishly on most machines, it's quite buggy, and you really need to advance cautiously or you will die numerous deaths.
Also, multiplayer isn't really pick up and play, as you need lot's of communication and coordination to get the most out of it.

I do think it would make sense, as it would allow demo users to watch s1 and s2 content. If it were an extra app like the cmx viewer, I guess it wouldn't compromise the security against illegal unlocks.

Quote from dadge :speaking from experience? infact, it's the anti-shout mod on this forum. which was added by a human. another well thought out post trom the tristan.

Even though I like the occasional tristan bashing as much as anyone else, you're overdoing it to an extent that makes you appear rather foolish to be honest. You look like you want to contradict him just for the sake of it rather than actually comprehensively reading what he posts...
Of course it was added by a human. In fact, the whole forum software was written by a human, much like pretty much any piece of code, as computers tend to not program themselves (neural networks excluded).
Still, the computer, or rather that program or mod does something automatically that shouldn't actually be an issue: preventing retards from posting in full caps. So I have to declare Mister Cliffe the winner in this small argument.

Quote from mr_spoon :
The documents about Jesus are more plentiful & of closer temporal proximity to the actual events, more so than many other figures from history that we all have zero problem with taking to be real. These two factors give greater historical accuracy & credibility for Jesus' existence than you can reasonably shake a stick at. Note further that Jesus was crucified at least in his early thirties & born around 4-6 BC, hence you can knock off over 25 years from those dates in a sense.

No. There arew plenty of latin and greek sources dealing with early Christians, but I know of none mentioning Jesus by name as an actual historical figure.

Quote from Byku :Well it all depends... Russia and China are not to keen to accept NKorean's goverment actions, and if NKorea will make an offensive move against NATO/ONZ/Japan/SKorea, they(Russia and China) surely wouldn't blindly support NKoreans offensive.

I too doubt they would openly support N Korea in an actual war, but that wouldn't mean that they wouldn't get valuable support from both russia and china in other means.

And concerning Iran: I do hope that this rises to a full blown revolution that would bring democracy to an islamic theocracy from within, rather than sending an army to do that job.

Quote from Byku :IMO USA is just waiting for N.Korean offensive move, so they can wipe them from the planet.

Not going to happen. N Korea is backed by China, and it has the third largest army in the world. Even though they are comparatively badly equipped, it's nothing the US, or a coalition of western forces could blitz through.
Also, the US are already in two wars at the moment, so I really can't see them going for a military operation.

Wow, already on page three of meaningless and banal culinary combinations. Upon reading the thread, I thought of tipps like:

Gewürztraminer (a white wine, and my favourite) fits to foie gras, generally sweet foods, spicy chicken and sweet sour asian foods.
A goulash goes very well with Murauer Bier, as the prominet malty taste of that brew fits nicely to the meal.

But hey, I guess not all of us are gourmets

I don't like the idea. it would make the setup list even more cluttered, with sewtups now not only dependant on track config, but also on race length.
I for one find it easier tinkering with the few values to accomodate for the race length rather than searchung through an immense list for the right one...
