XC - I was simply expressing my appreciation for the visual nature of the car, not alluding anything about it's driving properties.

Erm...I'm not saying it does, or will, I'm saying that on the off chance it did, I'd still enjoying sitting and looking at it.

I'm more or less joking, but definatly a good time to have adminstrative rights over a server for a bit. Either that or include a Doom mode.

Yes, periodic cleaning and the tape fix was what I was referring to.
The patch addresses a general flaw, but all pedals will require the cleaning (and the tape replaced) every few months.
I don't use the profiler at all.
Before starting LFS, I go to windows and calibrate the wheel, then ,when lfs starts, I press the pedals and turn the wheel left and right fully.
I haven't had any problems in about a year. At least since S2 came out, and quite a while before, if I recall correctly.
I used the 'tweak' program for a while, but I haven't had to bother with it lately. Also, the calibration lock in the game made no difference for me.

If you read the update - it's cleary tire nirvana.
Better tire physics is well worth the price of admission, in my book.
If you crash, it should take relatively the same time to fix your car as it would in real life. Flat tire - almost a lap. Damaged suspension 5-10 laps.
Flipping over and taking out 3 other cars - race over.
The 'laps' could be percentage of race, so 5 or 500 laps, you still get
an equivilent penalty.
You should also be able to use duck tape, and wander around in 4th gear.
And throw your helmet through someone's windshield.
And make free long distance phone calls.
And drink O.J. out of a carton.
(yes, I call it DUCK tape)

Er, I thought I read in the article that nkPro will be multiplayer, and that the demo will be released when the full version is released. You download the whole thing but need a liscense to unlock it.
I'm looking forward to it. The 100% open wheel focus is a bonus in my mind, not a negative. Coupled with a track editor - even better.

You can find the answer to that on any given day, on any given server, I'd say.
Without an admin on line, it's hard to overcome some of the problems described. If you find a group of people who are good and are usually on around the same time, they tend to end up looking for each other ( in my experience), and it is easier if you have the numbers on your side.
You shouldn't have a problem on a team server where a team member is present ( I Hope).
We've recently gotten our server going again (www.core-racing) and speaking for myself, I don't put up with a lot of crap from anyone.
I understand the argument that new players need time to improve, learn the ropes, etc, and I'll go out of my to help or explain what they've done wrong before just banning.
However, I think that anyone, whether it be their first day in LFS or their
third year, who's sole intent is to ruin other people's experience isn't worth the time to bother with. You can't force people to grow up, and there have been a few that just won't be back on our server before the 4th updates to S3 have been issued.
So hopefully, you can find some servers when the admins are on.
Another option is to use the 'start game' button, if you have enough bandwidth. With cable, I can usually run 6-10 cars without any serious lag.
There really are quite a lot of great drivers who aren't like the ones in the post. Keep trying, it's worth it.

That doesn't seem to be it, either. There are teams listed with members in the teams database, and some of the members have the 'team' filled in their individual profiles and others don't.
It's very curious, it has to be entered somewhere, but I've looked through lfsworld again, and can find nothing on it.
