I wish they made a two door in the US. Even the focus ST will be a four door here. I guess Ford figures they can't compete against VW in that segment.

If tyranny became a real threat to the lives of US citizens, I think large portions of the military and police would turn against the federal government. That's just useless speculation of course.

And besides your argument is that because we don't have everything we should have nothing. It may be a regional difference of course, the best weapons available to citizens in the UK couldn't defend against one man mugging you in an ally.

Since you see US gun owners as fat and goatee'd, I guess I can share my mental image of defenseless Britons:

the hard working honest Muslims condone the actions of the extremists by not calling them out as false representation of their culture in a meaningful way. The Danes condone the actions of the extremists by not offending them. Secular democracy, rule of law and human rights are offensive to orthodox Muslims and should be promoted and forced upon your immigrants. You cannot even defend your country's traditions and ideals because you are being replaced by Muslims who stand to benefit (a ready-made country given to them for free) if you are all too scared to speak out, even if they don't participate actively in your subjugation. Denmark is an Islamic colony and will be an example to the other nations who have treated these "visitors" so well.

I was simply astounded by you, a person who lives in a country that was ravaged by war turning and telling me that war is impossible.

I guess they don't talk about the Kosovo war in Serbia anymore.

@DWB I can't afford any of the weapons I'm talking about so I would be SOL. The US still provides the highest standard of living for the highest number of people in the world. I actually prefer it that way if you can believe that.

It is already the case that felons and the mentally ill are limited in their access to guns but state laws vary. And as I said before assault weapons are the only type of weapons that can be used effectively against armored soldiers. I'm sure people in communites all around the world never thought they would be attacked by soldiers or targeted by their own government's military.

Things can change. The government will only go after gun owners to increase their own power. There are plenty of examples of governments first disarming and then subjugating or exterminating their citizens. With over 300,000,000 guns in the US it is unlikely to happen here, but that is the result of legislation made 200 years ago and exists in spite of what the government would prefer to exist as law today.

I'm making a point to those who panic and say "gun violence is getting out of control and worse every day!" when in fact it has not increased at all and has in fact decreased in this decade and for most of the preceding decades.

Gun crime by the numbers tells a far different story than the media and politicians. There are hundreds of millions of guns in the US and about 13,000 were used to kill people last year. To take away the liberty of and to punish hundreds of millions of law-abiding citizens and call it justice for these deaths is wrong. It benefits only two groups, politicians and criminals...er it only benefits one group.

Quote :so clearly the problem is guns

Gun ownership at the time was extremely low compared to today. High powered weapons were mostly only affordable for criminal syndicates and the government. Local police had to buy their own weapons and could rarely afford anything more than a simple six-shot revolver. So I guess you could say the problem was the guns, but only that they were widely available to criminals and not to law-abiding citizens. The same problem comes as a result of banning guns, so if history repeats itself we can expect another record year of gun crime due to prohibition.

Another fun fact: ~40% of applications to buy a firearm in the US are denied because of criminal record or having been declared mentally unfit at some point.

trying to attribute one cause for gun violence and then making knee-jerk legislation to try and eliminate that one cause is ridiculous, but typical. Some people say its the guns, some people say its the SSRIs or lack of access to mental treatment, some people say violent video games.

The peak of mass murders using guns in the US was in 1929. Most guns were small-calibur revolvers or carbines (semi-automatic rifles that shoot pistol rounds) and were unaffordable to most people. There were no violent video games or...radio dramas. There were no mind-warping shoot 'em up pills. There was no government mind-control experiment. There were bad people. Just like there will always be.

The purpose of the second amendment is not to protect us from each other, but to protect us from the US military. Free citizens need weapons that can be used to overthrow the government, meaning the same weapons used by the soldiers they would be defending their communities from. There is no such thing as safety, and trading freedom for an empty promise and a "No Guns" sign shouldn't be enticing to people who claim to be skeptical of the government.

its funny Muslims have no problem offending Europeans, telling them all to die and such, and Europeans look like such pussies when they can't say anything back for fear of offending.

Also, instagram can do whatever they want to people as long as they use their service. Who else is going to make people's cell phone pictures slightly brown? Maybe after they make a "crotch-shot only" term in the agreement will people use instagram maybe only once a day.

Its more accurate to think of it as a controller, which you hold in the air in exactly the same way.

I don't know if anyone else uses this but it gave Forza 4 an entire new life for me.

I got bored of the game pretty quickly when I was using the controller. It just felt more like I was directing a car rather than driving it and they all felt pretty much the same. I couldn't justify spending a lot of money to buy a FFB wheel setup that would be collecting dust and taking up space in my house most of the time, plus I was so used to driving with a controller that I thought I could never switch.

I bought the wireless speed wheel after reading a lot of reviews online that said it was either a useless gimmick like the Wiimote, or a really fine and precise wheel with a few compromises, mainly the controller is missing L1+R1 buttons. I bought the wheel at Gamestop for $20 used and hated it the first few races, but after I dialed in the settings I was quickly back up to and exceeding my lap times with the controller. That was great, but what was better is that the game is 100% more fun and engaging now. The people who gave it poor reviews gave up on it far too quickly. You can feel the different driving dynamics of every different car. I wish I had bought it a long time ago. I just thought I would share my experience with this wheel for those who are still using the controller, but aren't serious enough sim racers for a FFB wheel.
