Quote :Bad parenting is always the fundamental cause.

Just because 5 year olds obviously shouldn't have guns unsupervised doesn't mean hundreds of millions of people should be disarmed.

Let's get this straight. Even though it puts children in potential danger, because its part of your traditions and culture you think its weird that anyone would oppose you and your killing device of choice. Are we talking about chocolate eggs or guns?

Unless more than 2000 kids are accidentally shot per year (the number of child choking deaths in the us) I disregard your Nicholson. Bad parenting is always the fundamental cause.

Probably more children have died by kinder eggs than accidental shooting.

When no one knows anything they make shit up. Its barely been two weeks and already racerx and the bombers mother are already convinced the blood was red paint and the whole thing was hollywood magic. The real idiots are the ones who make stuff up to muddy the waters during a crisis for their own anti-American feelings.

I wonder how many of the blog authors you quote have graduated a real school with a degree in journalism.

In some places a real, everyday threat to women is to suffer a man pouring battery acid on her face among dozens of worse fates. In many of those places, Islam is the sociopolitical construct that their society has accepted and in my view wants to propagate into the world where that kind of everyday human abuse is in the past.

That is a common expression, you might know that if you talked to people outside.

You would be many, many times more likely to get a accurate description of Prague from an American than a description of San Francisco from a Czech considering how few Czechs travel to the US and how many Americans travel to the Czech Republic. Most of those posts were from the day or two after the bombing when everyone was scared (despite their tough talk) and no one knew anything but half-baked rumors.

Perhaps Chechnya was in the news almost two decades ago for another war involving muslims. I can't imagine why nobody gives a shit anymore.

I can't believe there is even a question in rational people's minds that this event actually happened. Literally thousands of people are somehow related to the ~170 people who were killed or injured. Many of them have written about or posted pictures of what happened to them. Some witnesses recall the brothers placing the bags at both spots that later exploded. The police chased the two in car that they stole from a witness who describes their appearance and says they were bragging about their actions. ATM camera footage shows them robbing that man. Explosives were used in the chase and found in the car... Why is the least likely or reasonable explanation so intruiging to foreigners who don't have even secondhand knowledge of what happened? I hope if we decide to bomb some of your countries you'll blame yourselves like you expect us to do.

Why would every stoner in this country be expected to know anything about either the similar-sounding Czech Republic or Chechnya. No globally significant news comes out of either place. They're not building space ships, not curing cancer or inventing miracle technology. How many clueless stoners and idiots are in the rest of the world? Weird attitudes here.

Quote :For one thing, Europe’s unaccountable left-wing media spoon-feeds the European masses with a daily diet of sensationalist anti-American propaganda, so much so that ordinary Europeans have developed a thoroughly skewed perception of American reality.

For another thing, statistics show that Europeans are not nearly as well traveled in America as Americans are in Europe. According to the U.S. Department of Commerce, some 11.4 million Europeans visited the United States in 2007, which is roughly 2.5 percent of the European population. (By contrast, a record 13.3 million Americans visited Europe in 2007, or roughly 5 percent of the U.S. population.) The lack of firsthand knowledge of the United States is arguably the biggest reason why ordinary Europeans cannot discern fact from fiction when it comes to America.

got to be trolling. 170 people were injured by Hollywood movie magic shrapnel. I've seen people's injuries on facebook, pictures they took themselves! RacerX you are too far away from us you can't what is going on except through images including BS analysis by people who want to validate their own batshit crazy ideas!

There are dozens of eye witnesses both at the bombing site and that one time they were in a police chase shootout throwing bombs out the window. A few people saw that one not to mention the guy they carjacked and robbed...

Quote :I think people have forgotten that a suspect still has to go through trial before you can 100% condemn them. Sadly most people want is blood revenge and something to blame on, rather then getting to the bottom on this tension/conflict and do anything about it.

The people cheering at the finish line who are now casualties of a cause they had never heard of had nothing to do with foreign conflicts or easing religious tensions. These two men were given everything by this country but became radical muslims abroad. We allowed them to come here and start a new and better life out of mercy, and this is how we all are repaid for our collective graciousness. There is no one more guilty of causing conflict and fostering hatred than terrorists. Don't blame this on the victims to appeal to your own prejudices about American people. We did good by these brothers, and it was a horrific mistake.

no one gives a fck about the suspects and are probably pretty happy that one is dead and the other is in pain and is fckd. I think that is the message they are trying to send by being in the streets.

I faced this question recently and decided to get a Nexus 7 tablet and a mid/low range android phone LG Optimus L9. I almost wish I had decided to get the Nexus 4 as my phone but wouldn't that be kind of weird to have a tablet and a slightly smaller version of the same tablet? I think I saved money and got the functions I wanted.

Good job for the FBI. I do believe these are the terrorists, but I'm not quite sure why there were already bomb dogs at the marathon if they're saying there was no known threat. Either they knew about a threat, however vague, and failed to stop it or they knew nothing and couldn't have stopped it...the terrorists succeeded anyway. At least one is alive to face their victims' families.

The complacency is once again broken and people will be more vigilant looking for suspicious actions especially in crowds. After this do you think you would say nothing if you noticed a guy drop his duffel bag on the ground next to you and leave?

talk about circular reasoning. A whole page of this sht.

The US has an enormous magnifying glass over it so the entire world can examine and critique our every move, political figure, social norm, celebrity, current event, hurricane, election, invention, earthquake, law, meal, scandal, phenomena, artist, crime, funny internet video, etc etc infinity. The fact that a killing here has the attention of the entire globe, yet I couldn't tell you the details of the last 5 bombings in Western Europe (without wikipedia) shows that there is a weird imbalance of global media coverage, most of which is marketed and sold so that we look bad for the entertainment of foreigners, like the Carlie Sheen of global superpowers.

That's just the way of the world at this point, but sometimes I wish other Western countries would promote themselves and their culture and produce their own globally propagated media if ours is so shitty. Maybe I need a Latvian sketch comedy show to take a load off my mind but I wouldn't know!
