thats great that scouts get talent from youtube. Before, an underage up-and-comer had to sign with Disney in order to make it at all. Then Disney screwed them for about 15 years before they could get out of those contracts. Hence the term "Disney Slave"
I think I should have waited another 6 months but I always feel that way about electronics: Motorola Defy. This is my first smart phone, the camera stopped working after 3 months and my provider has terrible 3G coverage.
I listen to FM radio, commercials and all. Or lastfm on my phone. I don't like torrents and I can't ever justify paying for cd's. Not very big into itunes especially since they raised the prices, maybe only 400 songs.
Victory! the military has taken over, the parliament is disbanded and the Egyptian constitution is invalidated. Truly this is a huge step towards freedom and democracy for The People.
I live in Austin TX which is notorious for having the worst drivers around. these people actually put themselves in incredibly risky situations by not being assertive enough i.e. merging onto freeways, making unprotected left turns, or taking the right of way at a 4 way intersection. On top of all that they stop on railroad tracks.
I drive like the road is MINE I take what I need if I can get it safely. Being assertive can save your life!
someone told me that the british version has nudity so maybe I'd like it after all lol. I don't think MTV is willing to go that far. Its f'd that they have "teen mom" which glorifies having children while underage and unmarried, but when a show depicts underage kids smoking weed and having sex there are massive complaints from ethics groups.
I'm not following the situation play by play but I think that Hillary Clinton recently sided with the protesters saying that the egyptian government had no right to use violence against the protesters, or shut down communications. I'm all for the people overthrowing an autocrat (we already have our strongest ally in the Middle East), I just don't trust them to come up with anything 1. Better (more free), or 2. Lasting.
The protests are in large part organized and fueled by the Muslim Brotherhood whose stated goal is to instill the Qur'an and Sunnah as the "sole reference point for ordering the life of the Muslim family, individual, community, and State." That sounds an awful lot like Secular Authoritarianism, which is exactly what Iran got after 1979.
On the other hand, for Egypt, their stated goals are "freedom of personal conviction... opinion... forming political parties... public gatherings... free and fair elections..." Which is great but again Iran had all of that for a very short time after the government was overthrown, now of course they have none of those things.
I just think that everyone should chill the hell out, now that the Egyptian government is very aware that the people are going to overthrow them, the US and UN can put pressure on the government to reform instead of going down a path that has already ended in very bad places. I don't support Mubarak at all because he is obviously not a good dude, but I cannot support the Muslim Brotherhood either.
I don't side with the government or the muslim brotherhood the protesters are supporting. They both suck ass. This exact same thing happened in Iran 1979 and the democracy lasted about..ohhh one month before secular authoritarianism and ayatollah khomeini took over. And we all know how wonderful that was for everybody.
I have a mitsubishi mighty max pickup 4x4, and it's the best little truck I've ever driven. For a truck that will run forever I'd go japanese as long as you don't care about going faster than 80 mph.
I would have say that Ford is making the best-looking and highest quality american cars right now, especially now that they're bringing to the US some of the cars that we used to miss out on.
The caddys may look great (arguably), but GM has had serious reliability problems in the past (especially with cadillac) that it seems like they're trying to overcome. I don't know if they'll be successful yet.
just watched the first two episodes, i thought it was really good. I can't compare it to the UK version because i have never seen it andddd no one else in the US has either so it might as well be a whole new show (to us) and therefore incomparable. I don't know if i'd like the UK version, simply because I can't understand what they're saying on law and order: UK so i don't imagine teenage cockney is any more decipherable.
thats true, and I love the euro wagons, the real problem with them is that when something breaks (twice as likely with a used high performance car) they are extremely extremely expensive to get fixed correctly by an authorized mechanic here in the US.
