The Six Day War is one thing, the PLO with Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Saudi Arabia invaded Israel on Yom Kippur 1973 and even with a suprise attack they were defeated. And yes it took American technology to defend themselves from all of their neighbors.
Now this is a proxy conflict between the US and its allies vs. Iran which is supplying Hamas with weaponry. If Israel makes concessions to Hamas negotiated by its enemies in Egypt, they will certainly look weak when in fact they are proven to be the most powerful force in the Middle East.

Israel won its wars and deserves its land just as much as any other nation.
It is Egypt's fault that Palestinians had nowhere to go after they were defeated in the Yom Kippur war. Egyptians don't care enough about the conditions in Palestine enough to let them enter, they prefer to keep them suffering in Gaza as a thorn in Israel's side. The hostilities will continue as long as there are political reasons for keeping Palestine desperate.

nothing about that is shocking or revelatory to me. Israel refused to accept Hamas' demands. Hamas continues to fire rockets...just another day. Israel has absolutely no responsibility to agree to a ceasefire when they have the upper hand in every regard.
As for Jabari, I'm not sure where you will find a precedent where high ranking military officers cannot be targeted in a military conflict.
I'm pessimistic about this, I think this kind of cold-and-hot will continue far into the future. For one, Israel needs more room and resources for their quickly advancing society. Palestine is the ultimate odd one out after Israel won the war in 1948 They need more room because of the population problems caused when every woman is expected to have 5-8 children while packed into 200 square miles.

Am I correct in thinking that new video games have actually been able to keep a pretty constant poly count over the past few years with advances in textures and shading? I thought that even the most amazing-looking new games would betray their poly count if you could see them without textures.

Whatever actions Israel takes to defeat and demoralize their sworn enemies, they can at least say they treat each other with respect and dignity.
I don't see why you are blind to Israeli women and children who have also been killed by indiscriminate rocket attacks. You don't think that some countries become more powerful than others in part because of the power they give their citizens? One side has obviously has more capabilities than the other, but that's why chihuahuas don't kill dobermans. Would you consider giving Hamas half of Israel's nukes? As a taxpayer I don't want to pay for a stupid slut's second child by the second father. There is no punishment for having a child you cannot support, in fact the welfare check only gets bigger every time she gets knocked up. Many young women here in Texas think having a child young and not having to work is preferable to working full time.

I'm a conservative, but I believe we actually need way more abortions, not less. 72% of black children in the US and 41% of hispanic children are born to unwed mothers, both statistics up from less than 20% in 1980 and compared to 24% for white women today. The family unit has failed miserably in progressive welfare nations including this one. There is no more negative stigma associated with unwed mothers, so our non-judgmental society is causing generations of women and their children to be doomed to a life of poverty and government dependence. People who choose out of ignorance to be a burden on society; able bodied able minded people who choose not to work should be denied access to my tax contribution.

DUI with marijuana is hard to prove because of how long it stays in your system, but there are tickets you can get for driving erratically, below the speed limit, etc. that are quite expensive by themselves and easier for the state to collect than a DUI ticket which requires you to go to court.
I have always been in favor of legalizing marijuana because it destroys the "gateway drug" argument. The main way that people switch from weed to harder drugs is because the drug dealer wants to sell them something more expensive and addictive. Without marijuana dealers, I hope that a lot of young suburban kids won't ever come into contact with hard drugs.

I don't understand why franchises that have focused on single player game mechanics for decades always decide that multiplayer game modes are going to help them sell more copies (like everyone isn't going to buy GTA anyway). If Rockstar could double the number of missions and add extra immersive details in the SP mode, I would prefer that over any form of multiplayer. OR Muliplayer modes should be a free DLC to save room on the disk.

Colorado and Washington voted to legalize recreational marijuana use. Obama has chance to prove how liberal he really is. Now that some states have done it, hopefully a whole slew of them will come next.
