You think Obama knew that he was supporting Al Qaeda? We should put him on trial for war crimes! Impeach!
On the other hand if you have a more than a little faith, the provisional government may hold fair democratic elections and cast their votes for non-secular representatives who can fulfill points 1-15 of your first post without being a state sponsor of terror, a monarchy, or a failed state. I would be very happy to see that happen for them, but the fatal flaw of countries that are predominantly Muslim is that they cannot separate religious ideology from political ideology.
Hopefully the answers to your questions will be discovered before next November, but I suspect this new Libyan government will have already fallen by then and Obama will have to decide whether to convince the UN to go back into Libya to clean up the mess (that may be the whole point). I don't think Al-Qaeda has taken over Libya yet, they are more likely the most prominent of several groups who are going to be fighting over whats left. You may not believe it but that story about the Al-Qaeda flag was reported by omfg Fox news last week so it's not such a secret.
Personally, I think Obama is somewhat innocent, just such an inexperienced child when it comes to foreign policy that he thought the US should be on the "good guys" side of the Arab Spring. Notice that Clinton is cutting ties with Obama, his ideology about where the US stands in the world being such that it makes her job as secretary of state demeaning by any standard.
In short Gaddafi was bad and was directly responsible for the deaths of many people outside of Libya, especially in SE Asia and Israel. He may have given his people cash, but never the freedom that comes along with political efficacy. The new Libya may not be organized enough for years to become a serious state sponsor of terror on the level of Gaddafi.
I doubt it. Seems like it would double the amount rockstar has to pay for voice acting and script writing to have even two characters to choose from. Unless both characters are like claude and never talk.
whatever you think of Libya, Gaddafi could have avoided destroying his country with civil war if he had abdicated his power as other leaders have as a result of the Arab Spring.
I hope there isn't going to be some revisionist movement where he is painted as a saint. He was responsible for the Lockerbie bombing as well as the 1989 Berlin bombing. Gaddafi sponsored terrorism against Israel and the West and most likely is responsible for the death of a citizen from each country represented on this forum.
I don't think that NATO or the United States should have been involved in the civil war, but the allegations that NATO went in to prevent Gaddafi from switching Africa to a gold standard is far-fetched. First of all Gaddafi was distrusted by most other arab and african nations so any attempt by him to change the economic system would have been seen as a personal quest for power and dominance. On the other hand I can see why the UN would be worried about a state sponsor of terror against Israel, Europe and the US having more money and control over the economic system in Africa.
I hate doing any maintenance on my 25 year old car. I know the second I fix it up nice and just the way I want it some terrified woman is going to floor it out of a shopping center and smash into me and then my insurance company will give me $800 and tell me my car was a POS, have a nice day!
16. The government mass murders citizens who do not believe they live in a utopia.
17. There are no democratic elections, political opponents are assassinated along with journalists who support them.
18. The internet and all communications are owned and controlled by the government.
18. So many people are happy they wage a civil war and kill their leader as retribution for his crimes against humanity.
looks amazing! It looks like they learned a lot about optimization and scenery from RDR.
I hope we'll be seeing some gameplay videos soon but I don't remember there being a lot of those before GTA IV came out.
I noticed the sports car suspension looked tighter like it was connected to the road instead of to jelly.
*I am going to drive a bus through that hobo camp.
whatever happened to the days when you just put the cd in the computer and it contained the finished game that you could then play? Must be all the hackers or something because otherwise it does't make a lot of sense to me.
Its not a matter of safety to me, the question is why would you put a cage in a car that isn't going to be raced? It just makes it harder to get in and out. Plus if you're driving in such a way on public roads that there is actually a good chance that your car will end up on its roof, then a roll cage probably won't lengthen your life by very many years anyway..
I hope more than anything that GTA V has nothing in common with LA Noire. For how much that game was hyped its severe flaws were only barely balanced out by it's brilliance. I don't even want to see facial mapping as it seemed to me that it compromised the amount of detail they could put into other parts of the game.
Saint's Row on the other hand will be bought by many mothers this Christmas for their neurotic, Ritalin-addled children.
P.S. Franky reading something from someone who has been "reading from multiple sources" does not make it true, although it wouldn't surprise me if GTA V was set in LA. It also wouldn't surprise me if the sources were full of BS.
As a pilot I've researched airships a lot because they're awesome, but IMO they have the same basic flaws as they did in the early 20th century. In clear skies with no or little wind they are very stable and efficient, but even this advanced airship probably would have difficulty maintaining control over its altitude if it were carrying a payload through a storm. There are more physics challenges for freighter or military airships as well. It takes a massive amount of helium and dumping ballast to lift a payload to an altitude that would clear it of major ground obstacles, much less get the ship on top of the weather. The early airship engineers solved both of these problems the best they knew how by making their ships enormous and filled with aluminum bracing so that they would not break apart.
They all broke apart anyway, but I believe it was more because they lacked the technology to control helium distribution throughout the ship causing incidents like this
I'm glad airships are poised to make a comeback (more pilot and crew jobs are always welcome), but I wonder if they can overcome the Hindenburg stigma and if they even have a role to play in the 21st century.
I've only seen bose's videos but the SP looks better than black ops, I don't know how MW3 will turn out. I never really understood battlefield MP, so I'll probably get both games.
I wish I had a HD I can't see rival ghosts to improve my lap times at Laguna seca. I would love to see what people are doing to get into the 1' 0X" range at the lancia stratos challenge too. The suggested racing line and braking points are ridiculous and more of a distraction than an aid.
