so then what is the solution? Everything that entertains us from games to movies to books should be free for everyone? I'm not for restricting the internet in any way, but this issue seems like a no-win situation. I don't download anything illegally because I think it is wrong to take someone's work for free, but millions of other people don't care.

What is the incentive for creating music, movies or games once the money is gone? It takes thousands of people to make these products and once they're not being paid anymore what will they do?

Quote from Homeless_Drunk :It only takes a few stupid people to ruin it for everyone else, unfortunately

I'm sure all it took was for one person to lose their life during what was supposed to be a fun track day. Track owners can lose their liability insurance and be financially ruined too. I think hands on instruction should be required for every track you drive at regardless if you're an "expert" or not.

Has anyone tried the wireless speed wheel? It has very good reviews online but apparently is held back by a lack of RB LB buttons. Oh and my new skin.

when you drive the same slow, boring car as everyone else you should do something to make it unique.

This select group of scientists did the initial research which became the basis for the politics of man made global warming. Climate change is simply not a severe enough problem to justify millions in grants and taxation. The public is gullible enough to believe that paying extra money to buy gas or drive in a city will help to change the climate of our planet. Where ego comes into it is when scientists actually believe that humans can destroy our 5 billion year old planet in only about 220 years since the industrial revolution.
When I was taught about climate change in school, they used the now debunked "hockey stick" graphs and Al Gore's film which used all of the data that is now known to have been tampered with. Soon a second generation of children in schools will be taught about climate change with no one to present science opposing that theory of which there is plenty. This education of school children is vital if the government wants to continue using climate change to issue new and increasing taxation on the public, and to continue giving grants to scientists who do most of their work in front of legislative bodies rather than in a laboratory.

...could be that half page press release doesn't contain all the information about the release of the game.

No need to quote the dictionary to each other.

Humans have an amazing ability to adapt. No matter what we do now, there WILL be a hot period, maybe even as hot as the Cretaceous period. After that there WILL be an ice age where a sizable portion of the Northern Hemisphere will be frozen and enormous glaciers may form and gouge a completely new terrain. The human politicians and scientists who are fighting about this now will be long dead before any of them are proven right or wrong. Islands will be submerged in water, new land masses will be uncovered by changing sea levels. By that time humans will have already accepted the climate and environment they live in as normal, and it will not change significantly during their lifetimes. Living today with fear and anger over what the planet will be like centuries from now is as irrational as ancient humans getting pissed because mammoth fur is itchy to wear and it got damn cold.

I predict Porsche will terminate its contract with EA before EA releases the license to anyone else. It is better for Porsche's image to be associated with games that are popular with people who know what a carburetor does like GT5 and Forza than to only be in EA's arcadey games.

when the government dictates gas prices it just means the oil companies and the government get to screw you seperately. There are very few countries in the world that are actually getting a fair price for quality fuel.

this game reminds me of the 90's arcade driving games like RUSH or Cruisin' USA. No AI, no physics, just put the pedal down and steer (or don't, it doesn't really matter)

Quote from Specht77 :well, here in brazil the situation is even worse...
Lancer 2010 in UK = £22,995.00
Lancer 2010 in Brazil = R$ 173,695.00, that is +-
£62,256.00 (yes, almost 3x the price)
BMW M3 2005 in UK =
£15,995.00
BMW M3 2004 in Brazil = R$ 128,533.00 that is +-
£46,069.00 (more close to 3x the price, and one year older!)

That's terrible. Why does a Mitsubishi cost more than a BMW? Whats the used car market like?

Just yesterday house republicans announced they're writing legislation to eliminate insider trading for congressmen. Insider trading is bad, but whats worse is when a congressman knows that a highway is going to be built, so they buy land adjacent to it at a low price and then sell it when the highway is announced. Obviously the original owner of the land is screwed out of millions of dollars by their own representative. I liked this quote from the bill's author:
Quote :"Members of Congress should live under the same laws as everyone else. If they trade on inside knowledge to line their own pockets, they should be punished," Brown said in a statement, without referencing any of the officials named in the report. "Serving the public is a privilege and honor, not an opportunity for personal gain."

I've been looking for flexible work I can do while I'm also racking up flight hours during the week so as of yesterday I'm working at an international rental car chain. Low stress, good pay, the only problems are that they require you to hard sell their very expensive insurance coverage and the rental computer runs ms DOS. I was born the same year the program was written. I'm doing the training now and nothing in my computer experience has prepared me for this paleolithic sht.

or they can be forced to resign, or not reelected (Anthony Weiner and many others).

The law you mentioned was written when congressmen would have to travel several hundred miles by coach, train, or horseback to get to congress and could not afford to miss an important vote. When is the last time you heard of a congressman robbing a liquor store on the way to a session?
