There wasn't an "I don't care" option, so I voted yes
And btw, 2 miles can also be quite short if you want to chase the ultimate top speed of the car.

Quote from batteryy :just eating some sort of italian pata(i dont know how to spell it in english)

Italian Casserole is close I believe.

I'm having aura blue cheese / tomato pasta with mushroom meatballs (once they're cooked). Sounds Swedish but tastes better

Quote from Hankstar :This one speaks for itself. Short version: little girl gets sick, parents pray for a month instead of going to hospital, girl dies. Parents blame themselves - for not having enough faith.

Maybe they didn't have enough money for offering healthcare for their dying daughter

Quote from batteryy :o c,mon, buy a m16? my friend haves it. i have never shotted it but she says that it is awsome gun. im not sure is it legal but they say nothing at shooting range about having it

I think it's legal if modified so that you have to reload it between every shot. Boring

Quote from March Hare :The answer is: the sword

All other equipment has a double role. Even guns. The sword isn't good at anything other than killing other people. As a tool it's useless. As a hunting weapon it's useless.

Like you couldn't hunt with a sword? Ok, maybe not. But sword fighting in all it's forms is definitely a sport like shooting sports.

@ battery: no. I don't want small kicking things either.

Don't own a gun, but I loved shooting with an assault rifle in the army. If automatic weapons were legal, I'd probably get one to play with. But I doubt I'd enjoy firing handguns (ok, light and fast semi-auto could be fun) or big things that kick back.

Quote from Glenn67 :The best way to reward safe driving is make the sim more realistic (better damage modeling, dynamic track conditions, racing line, better tyre modeling in regard to wear and damage due to misuse, etc)

Most of these will come in time I hope.

Amen. There's no need to invent any artificial systems, when a proper damage modelling does the job even better.

Quote from Crashgate3 :Collect up cats and glue them to the car. If the cats start scratching the bodywork do the same with some dogs.

I'd like to see a cat and a dog both glued on that car

Quote from Hyperactive :Sims don't teach about anything how to steer, use pedals or shift. The basic techniques can be about the same with similar equipment but what you do in real car is still whole worlds different scenario.

Maybe they aren't 1:1 exactly, but LFS really does teach how to operate steering and pedals in a racing situation. The completely different feel of controllers can take time to get used to, but when it's nailed, a real car does everything like LFS car does (and like you said, also something that LFS car doesn't). If you put down hundreds of hours of racing in LFS or nKpro perhaps, all the vehicle dynamics related causalities are so deeply in your brain/spine that you can straightly apply them to real life, like DEFFX explained he had done.

I also remember one accident I managed to avoid a pileup by pulling the handbrake and performing a scandinavian flick in traffic before even thinking - and that was during my first 6 months of driving, definitely taught by LFS.

On public servers I always race with names on, because it never hurts to know your opponents - to be able to predict what they might do helps to avoid accidents. The names could be a little bit smaller though, in some situations they can distract racing.

I had a sex dream and woke up harassing my bed tonight. But never seen any LFS related.

BTW, this improvement suggestion sucks.

I think that when you advertise your website somewhere, you should prepare for feedback. And if you lowered your weapons and actually listened that feedback, you could take some notes how to improve your site.

But on the other hand, why should you bother, as long as all your 15 users are happy.

Well, ain't XRG somewhat close to hatchibashirokku or what they call Corollas over there?

I'd also like the driver side locked into player's account or by the cars. But last time I opened my mouth the welcome wasn't very warm. Now there are people who agree, wohoo

I use it to get a smooth experience. My system maxes out at about 95 FPS, but a sudden drop from 95 to 75 looks awful and distracts the driving. So I've limited my fps to 75, so that it's always smooth. Never thought the heat thing, but I guess it also helps me that way, because I have a Nexus Breeze case full of old hot hardware.

Quote from klingon :GT5 for ps3 is going to have over 700 cars and 200 tracks and full customization for only $60 and you dont have to pay for updates .

By the way, you could count GT4, GT HD and GT 5 as updates of GT3, because they've all been released within LFS existence, and the differences between LFS's developement stages are even bigger than differences between these GT games.

Edit: No Pun

I wouldn't buy GT5 even if it had all the cars in the world and beyond, and I had a PS3 in the shelf.

But I'd pay $150 for S3 right away if it was priced like that
