Stop wating devs time and grow up. It will not come faster the more you moan and you haven't paid for it (no-one has) so are not entitled to moan.

Sorry to state the obvious but I don't think he's really after scirocco news.........guy.

Not looking forward to this race so much. Not getting on with the track as well as I'd like, but have to make the most I can after last time out, made a total mess of it and need to capitalise on people being fat with ballast.

Quote from sam93 :How the **** do you know anything about me? I don't bullshit at all!

You have a 206? I would rather have a van, atleast it's not ****ing french. Only french car worth having is a 205 1.9 GTI.

I will only probably keep this van until I'm 18... If I can afford £300 a month on insurance next year... I will just buy a S13. But as I'll be in college then I doubt I'll have that money lying around.

I pay for my own insurance, van, petrol, lessons and test. So out of the money I had, you can see why I've got a £400 van.

Idealy I would want something jap or german (BMW or Audi) but funds just dont allow atm.

Thought you were keeping it and pimiping it to within an inch of it's life, now you're going to bin it?

You sound like someone who is starting out in engineering or being a mechanic so you're around all the older guys who shoot the shit about how the French only use 1 colour for the wiring or the head gaskets always go in this car and they are never the same after the're fixed, blah, blah....

You're too young to know anything about a 205 so someone has spun you that and know your repeating it to us.

Guy, talk about what you know. You have your fist car, you have all these plans (which is good) but don't piss it away on a shitty van, and yes I know you can do the work yourself after work, but it's still not worth it.

And you'd pay £300 a month on insurance! I doubt that, time to get more realistic, try something in the middle of a van and an S13.

Quote from sam93 :I know not a lot of people have the taste of modifying cars, but I do.

Not many people not having a taste for modifying cars? In a thread about cars, for people to post pictures and discuss their cars and the modifications they've made, on a forum for a driving game, on the internet jam packed with other games about driving, some with modifications as an actual point of the game and all the websites dedicated to nothing but modifying cars, just for people who do nothing but modify their car and then tell everyone else who modifies their car what they've done and how to do it........not to mention all the magazines and TV shows who's sole purpose for being is to please people who modify cars!

Yeah, not many people are into pimping their ride.

Quote from Jakg :Run a diesel out of fuel and bits break.

Not really. You might need to just prime the system again to get it started. I ran out of diesel and she started fine, didn't need to do anything other than put some fuel in the tank and so did my brothers car.

Don't believe every nightmare story or piece of advice you hear. If you know you running low and it stops then stop straight away and don't try and start it until you filled up.

....all this half/full tank, energy saving tyres is bollocks, you're only be looking at a tiny saving, just drive in a more economical way.

Quote from Jakg :......

Hmmmm, I have to say it, congrats on the car.

It's a massive upgrade from the proton. It's a nice looking car (the more I look at it) and like you say, it has all the shizznit you could ever want and plenty of poke. Shame it has that old man vibe around it but, meh, who cares.

And people quoting 0-60 figures is about as meaningful as when you did when you were looking for a new car You're not driving around with a stop watch or doing quater mile runs, you put your foot down and of she goes.

...took you long enough tho, god damn.

With thought and effort that has gone into typing that one tiny sentence people would be mad not to put lots of their time and effort into helping you start and manage a league.

Must try harder. League idea's, types of races, race distance, race format, etc, etc, etc, etc..................

Man alive, lucky for all those motorsport champions that you don't have the car, right, cause how hard can it be. They'd be in serious trouble if you had a run at them............

I've never done it but how hard can it be: some of the stuff I've read here needs to go in a book of 101 armchair world champion quotes.

It's not stock tho is it and if you watch the video you can tell it's RWD.

Watch the video again then.

FWD!!!!!!!!!!! Come on guy, don't tell me you're the one saying it's FWD in the comments. It's clearly RWD!

Quote from matijapkc :Hey, those cars are RALLY cars. RALLY means that there is lots of mud and JUMPS. Those cars have really good suspensions (better than those in LFS) and they can stand out those jumps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uvs-uGwxe1Q You see, after that the car's suspension doesn't brake.

Rally cars are strong but there are limits, even RALLY cars are only a little bit stronger.

The car he jumped was probably toughend up a little more than normal and you have no idea what damage was done on the landing from watching the video, plus it was only 1 time, you have to do that multiple times in a dirt2 race over much rougher landings.

Dirt2 is not a simulator.

Quote from matijapkc :Can you tell me what's so unrealistic in DiRT2? Maybe physics which are better than those NFS Shift has. It is probably comparable to LFS.
EDIT: Only without barriers.

I enjoyed dirt2, we played it a lot but its not really realistic, it's a fun arcade game, and the list of things that are no realistic would be long.

If you attack one of the LFS rally tracks the same way you would in dirt2 you just understeer off and crash, damage would end the race and the jumps (which would be on the list for not realistic in dirt2) would destroy your car.

You have played LFS, right?

...lol, like 8/10 is a bad score.......anyways.

If they made a true to life F1 sim it would be a boring as hell. For the general public/pick-up races, using the BF1 as an example is not an accessible car, it's too fast, so codemasters would need to do something else.

There's probably a millions reasons fear, panic, car not starting, not really making any difference if they went forward or backward, etc etc also the fact that it would probably make it a million times worse. God knows what would happen if he tried to drive off the front, the car could to anything.

Advice from behind a computer screen is easy to give. i.e. armchair F1 champion/football manager/person-stuck-in-front-of-a-lorry.

It's just a disconnect. Don't over think it.

...it's more likely someone really close (as in distance) to you lagging out your connection anyway.

Quote from diNOSaur :i have decided to not buy gfx card ;-)
all i need to know more is which hdd should i choose.
and im not really sure about that mobo. it might be not enough so advices will be helpful :-)

On board graphics will not be good enough for LFS, I can't beleive you are not going to get a video card. IF you are lucky you will be able to play on minimum settings, on your own. The more cars racing and at places like south city the shittier it will get.

Plus you wont be able to play any other games.

Any SATA2 hard drive will be fine, you can get a 250/500G pretty cheap now. Nothing is unbreakable btw.
