Then you need to put that file into the folder in ...../LFS/data/layout
Then, fire up LFS. Choose the Autocross (1st configuration) and choose the layout you have saved, I circled it below.
Alternatively you can load it from the track itself by using Shift-U and press space to get the Shift-U menu to appear and choose load layout from the lower right of the screen.
Yep you can, use G25 and switch it into to Sequential mode.
Oops can't do that anymore with G27.
(side note: no sorry chief, you can not make the XFR use an h-gate shifter. It can only use sequential. It's done that way to keep it realistic. So you have to use flappy paddles or find two other buttons to change gears. Dunno what shifter you have, but maybe you could set 3rd and 4th as up & down gears? Really that's the only way unless you have a G25 to switch modes, sorry)
No it makes no sense because many people have dynamic IP's and would be able to re-verify themselves the next day they login because their IP would be different.
Also anyone caught stealing an account and subsequently getting banned by IP, can easily get a faked IP, or even reset their router in some cases and get a new IP.
errr yes maybe so, but the opener wants it as a reference to "save users information (Money, cars, goods)" So I don't think he is considering banning by IP's
I was just as perplexed as Krammeh, but wanted to see how it panned out for a laugh.
Aoun, just out of interest, what is the default (native) resolutions for your screens? I assumed from what you wrote and what you were trying to acheive that the 19" and 22" were 1440x900, 1680x1050 respectively and that's why you required separate resolutions.
I also thought it was possible you might have had 19" 1280x1024 and 22" 1680x1050
The extra set of pedals will not work on their own with anything other than the original wheel. When it go thrown out he through out the only way to make those other pedals work with their current cords and circuitry.
But as vetteguy said above, you have to use the circuitry of another controller to get another new pedal to operate. So youwould have to strip down another controller that has a working analog axis and put that into the spare pedal set and hook up the clutch pedal mechanism to it with some levers or push rods. It's a custom build so you will have to invent the mechanical mechanism part yourself.
Alternatively you could hijack one of the buttons in your working wheel controller and run two wires down from it down to the extra pedal set. Then put a contact switch into the extra pedal and connect those two wires to it. So when you press the clutch, the button is essentially pressed because you're shorting out the contacts coming from the button. Although with this method you will have to open up your working wheel to get to the button, so if you're not very confident with wiring or pulling apart electronic consumer goods then you should get some help from someone to do this.
Also this would only give you a digital clutch, but really .... an analog clutch is not totally needed. There is no great advantage to be able to hold the clutch out half way in most car games. Clutch is either on or off in most cases. I never find myself "riding the clutch" it just burns out anyway in LFS. Taking off at race start is just a "drop the clutch" process for me.
Sure there is nothing wrong with an analog clutch, just if you want a quick solution then a spare button diverted to the floor might be all you need.
I had many issues trying to get even laptops to clone monitors that are differnt resolutions. Sometimes you get lucky and it works, depends on the graphics card mostly.
The 19" wont (can't) use the same resolution as the 22" so it just puts both to the lowest common demoniator so that you can at least see the image on both. You choose clone and it tries to clone the 22" res to the 19" and it won't happen so it throws the 19" res at both. At least I think this is what's happening.
You might be able to try 'Extend' mode. That way you can select each one separately (display options) and assign each one it's own resolution. Then run LFS in windowed mode, drag it to your main screen and shift-F4 it to full screen and it will fill that monitor. It might be all you can do to get each monitor to run at different resolutions at the same time.
Considering where we are today with technology and it's advances in the last 50 years, I can't believe we are subjected to this kind of torture to authenticate ourselves.
If the cable (cat5 LAN/ethernet) is less than 100 meters (328 feet) then the speed will be same (100 MBit/s) as if you were to use a 1 foot cable to the modem's LAN socket. Which more than enough for any DSL connection.
Although if your Modem only has one LAN output socket (port) then your will have to unplug your Mum's (Mom's) internet cable while yours is connected.
Apparently they listen to their customers many people have said, so maybe if enough whining is done, they will put sequential back onto the G29 or what ever model is next.
Also as g25 will be discontinued (rep from Logitech stated this), so someone at some point will have to replace their G25 when it finally dies and if the only option left is G27 then someone might be pissed that their is no sequential. Their will be no choice of either G25 & G27
