hearing that singing made me felt sick... lol

PS. McLaren said they'll have some updates on their suspension for China, which would aid in qualifying. Red Bull responded by saying McLaren better becareful, and Red Bull would protest it if the McLaren system enabled them to adjust their ride height between qualifying and the race...

So basically, McLaren thought they know what Red Bull is upto, while Red Bull is 100% confident what McLaren thought is wrong... lol

Quote from Mustafur :Webber said he went wide in T1 because he couldn't see next to him so didn't want to risk a crash, well atleast next race that won't be a problem anymore.

A good possible feild jumbler to see who can make the best of it aerodynamicly.

the mirror thing have been pushed back to Barcelona. So he'll still have that problem in the next race~

Quote from DejaVu :petrov followed his exact weaving though, so does he escape all blame aswell?

Hamilton is weaving in front of Petrov, which is against the rules and that's why he got a warning.

But in what way is following the guy's in front weave is against the rule~?

Quote from zeugnimod :Sadly, you are probably right.

Can't really remember what races in China are usually like but after that one we have 2 potentially very boring races again: Barcelona and Monaco. :/

China when dry is also very boring.

there is a mile long straight just like Bahrain, but the corners leading up to it is a fast left right, so cars could never follow closely enough to get in the draft...(thanks Tilke for that again)

Quote from Intrepid :I think the stewards (Herbert joined them this weekend) clearly have improved this year. A warning flag was the right choice for Hamilton. It was naughty but a sense of proportion is needed. That's a decision consistent with what I've witnessed and experienced in other forms of motorsport.

Anyone asking for DTs should just quit watching F1 and go watch time trials or hill climbing or some shit. At last the F1 stewards are giving drivers some freedom to actually race and push the boundaries a bit instead of giving stupid arse penalties every 5 minutes. If he did it again a DT for sure... but he didn't and the warning worked

I was happy that he got away with it. But I thought the rules were pretty black and white about it.

Although trying to break the tow isn't exactly the same as swerving to block...

PS. After the Felipe baby last year, this year his race engineer got on the radio and said "good boy Felipe".
So he's now 1 year older and have gone out of the baby stage~ lol

Quote from RiseAgainstMe! :massa's on 39, button and rosberg 35. it is close indeed.

And it wouldn't be this close if.... but well what happened have happened already~

I'm angry cos I was thinking about switching my engines to a Red Bull on F1 manager, and didn't... lol

the Virgins would excel with the Handcock~

Quote from DevilDare :Well that was, uhm.... dissappointing?

No SC, no rain... Nothing...

Still, a decent race. Loved Hamilton's drive up the field at the first half of the race. That move with Petrov was a bit "silly", but meh.... Sad that he couldnt get passed Sutil, he should of been fighting Kubica for 4th...

Anyways, that RB6 and Seb are absolutely dominating. Reminds me of Ferrari and Schumi back in the day. Great, great team and drivers.

Webber has no one to blame. He let Vettel past, he payed the price.

Also, Alguersuari and Buemi deserve a mention, some nice driving from both of them.

nearly all passing moves on the track today involved a Toro Rosso~

first Hamilton finding his way pass both of them. Then they each have battle with the Williams.

Quote from Töki (HUN) :Alonso did a great job with a crap gearbox. Vettel finally won, was about time.

and when his engine lets go, it was all happening at once. Lunge down the inside of Button, ran wide, bye bye engine.

Vettel should be on 37 points now, Alonso is also on 37. Havn't done my maths on how much Massa got. But yeah, suddenly Vettel is back into the thick of it, thanks to McLaren and Ferrari being smart-ass yesterday and back fired.

Quote from zeugnimod :Well, he had a good start and a good battle with Petrov (where he should have gotten a penalty, tbh) and gained some places during pitstops. But did anybody seriously expect him not to finish in the points under normal conditions?

He certainly had a good race and might be driver of the race but it's not that clear, IMO.

Kubica again putting the Renault where it normally doesn't belong as well.

Hamilton gained his positions on the track, it's the Ferraris that gained it in the pit stops.

Quote from RiseAgainstMe! :when I watched it, I thought Petrov was following Hamilton across the track, not the other way around...which I found strange, wouldn't he want clear air in Formula 1 where draft seems to be a detriment?

draft in the straights is never a detriment.

Quote from Töki (HUN) :That move was retarded. I'd give him a DT without any doubt. It's not autoX or slalom..

FIA stewards: "no no no we can't penalise that because it made for better TV and made it looks more interesting, so yeah lets him get away with it and just give him a warning".

how freakin brilliant... our tv company decided to cut to advertisement just when Lewis is shouting on the radio "Is the rain coming"

and something definitly sound wrong on Alonso's gearbox when he tries to change down...

Quote from Jertje :Anyone else having issues with live timing on Formula1.com? Doesn't work at all for me

it's working for now... but it isn't running perfectly.

Lewis was VERY LUCKY to get away with it for weaving across the tracks THREE times in front of Petrov. Perhaps the FIA felt they owe him something after what happened in Spa and Fuji in his Championship winning year. Or perhaps FIA felt it made for excellent television so they better not do much about it.

Quote from zeugnimod :Even if it's dry it will be interesting.

Or did some of the top cars start at 19, 20, 21 etc. in 2004-2007?

I remembered BOTH Honda blown their engines on lap 6 in 2004 (or 2005), almost simultaneously.

PS. De la Rosa seems to be having some engine troubles, don't know if they fixed it in time to start from the pitlane, his grid slot seems to be empty anyway...

Quote from Dik Dolan :It will be a wet race. The weather forecast for today is "Eddie Jordans armpits to soak the track 30 minutes into the race."

live news, the track is looking very dry and it looks to be quite sunny... for the moment anyway~ XD
god knows how wet it'll be in 40min time... XD

so perhaps moving the GP back into 4pm is a brilliant idea after all, so we can have guaranteed random rains (which is an under-statement) to spice things up a lot~! XD

Quote from tinvek :the problem is that with bridgestone still apparently commited to pulling out F1 is currently without any tyres for next year, they could run on the rims but i suspect that will make aero grip even more important

we can rely on the Koreans with their Handcock tyres~

Quote from samjh :Not sure.

Obviously the FIA can't just ban the multi-deck diffusers this year due to regulatory and practical reasons; regulatory because they can't introduce such a huge rule change mid-season, and practical because the teams will be massively hamstrung if such a vital component was to be banned. But they could have announced them banned for this season, last year.

Logic: the FIA has none (or at most, very little).

yeah that's what I was thinking, why didn't they announce it last year and get it banned this year.

the good thing about FIA is, no one can predict WTH they're upto and WTF they're gonna do~

Quote from samjh :Probably a good move, although it comes too late. The call should have been made before the winter tests, not after. Drivers have been complaining about the useless mirrors for years.

same goes for the double diffuser, why are they banning it from next year but not this year~?
