Quote from BigDave2967 :Isn't he on a longer fuel stint? Might use the lighter car as an advantage.

lets hope the Honda, Heidfield and Piquet do their job well and block the hell of Massa and let LH opens a big gap...

but he'd need to pull at the very least 3sec a lap to make it happen for him...

Quote from Gills4life :The thing is, that tosser Ecclestone is basically saying to be thankful that the British have a GP at all and to be happy that atleast we will still have one. There may be a lack of facilities at Silverstone, but it is more than capable of hosting the bloody thing, which it has done for years and is a great track for Formula One. He just wants more fecking money :arge:

nah he just wants to screw the BRDC after so many years of trying to get them to build a new paddock...

Bernie aren't THAT bad, at least he decided to purchase the ONLY good track built by Tilke (Turkey) to save that from going into bankruptcy.

Quote from lizardfolk :I wonder if he's still serious about getting into F1

all the prize money in NASCAR should be able to keep him uninterested about F1... I hope~!

PS. and the good thing is, does NASCAR still wipe the points for the top 10 when they enter the chase for the cup this year~?

Quote from evilpimp :I rewatched it on youtube and there was indeed contact. It's a fact. And that is what sent kovi a bit sideways and touchin the curb and then having to correct his oversteer. That's why before I said he attacked his teammate a little too early and should have waited till the field was settled.

"Attacked"~? Check out how far he was in front as they turned into T1, and how much Lewis slowed down again then... since you got so much time to go through the evidence as to whether they really touched, what I mentioned shouldn't be too hard visbly to find out...

if it was an attack, he could easily have gone a bit faster and just runs him off onto the runoff on the outside...

Quote from Mustafur :Alonso in bahrain.

oh that was just a straight up the ass moment, which he probably couldn't get round to doing it in person last year so have to do it this year when the opportunity suddenly came up~

Quote from evilpimp :I agree that he is really stupid when he's not in front. If he's making his way though the slower cars he's a plain ass (in his driving and overtaking methods). Maybe he doesn't think what he's saying, but how could we know if he is thinking it or not. How did he prove to you guys that he's jus bullshitin in front of the camera's and that he is actually a cocky bastard right when the camera's turn off? Have you seen him make cocky comments after an interview or during an interview? I don't think so.

After all those incidents and seeing him drive through the field and hitting the slower ones and passing them by cutting, etc. just made me lose so much respect for him. I started to like Kubica more for his consistency. But damn could the man drive in the rain (Hamilton). That takes pure skill. But I wouldn't call him a legend just yet. If he started 10th in the rain would he have made it to 1st? I doupt it. Chances are that he would've ended up hitting someone butt as he likes to do. Heck even in Silverstone he made a dangerous and stupid move agaisnt his teammate. When he passed all those people in T1, he hit his teammates rear wheel which almost got him to spin. That was totally not necessary. But man is he fast.

Is he a fast driver? Yes. Is he a great racer? Certainly not.

To be a great racer you'd have to know how to race with other cars around instead of lapping fast alone.

But for his behavior off the track, I have no idea why people hate him so much as a person. (some even say he's not human because he's too cocky and thinks he's supreme.)

a). if you look CAREFULLY, he didn't even touched Heikki, he was already way ahead as they turned into T1, but because he knew his teammate was there, he slowed and gave him enough room for Heikki to drive past round the outside again. Heikki had that slide because his left rear wheel touched the white line on the outside of the corner, not because Lewis touched him.

b). he passed only ONCE by short cutting, and that was a marginal call by the stewards already.

c). can you refresh my memory a bit here~? I can't remember when did Lewis actually punted someone off to pass them. I could be wrong through...

d). you need to watch that GP2 race in Turkey again...

Quote from aoun :I saw Monaco more just stratigy rather then the skill.

This race was all the work on Hammy..

he still pulled from 20sec behind to 40sec ahead in the space of 20-30 laps, that is one bloody minute which can't came from strategy alone...

Quote from tristancliffe :Both are great circuits (though I've not driven on Donington ), but I think the access and facilites will be a problem at Donington due to a lack of space - it's not got a huge infield, it's not got a huge paddock (because the Melbourne loop goes behind the pits)...

I don't think it'll last long on the calender unless it's massively changed. And that would almost certainly be a bad thing - like the ruining of Hockenheim for example.

but since they've already got the dude who ruined Hockenheim over... I sense we'll hv yet another Tilke modified/designed track on the calendar...

LH: Well, me, I'm a competitor, so I'm for one to say yes, but I've got people behind me who may…
JB: What if I say £10,000 to the charity of your choice if you beat me? What do you think?
LH: Are you trying to steer me off this championship or what?
JB: It's the only thing I can be competitive in at the moment. Think about it.
LH: Yeah, I will.

Quote :
LH: That's not too bad. I was just checking my calendar, so I wasn't being rude. I was trying to see whether I'm busy that day and unfortunately I don't think I am. No, honestly, the biggest incentive is, if I do beat you, then you've got some money for a charity which is great. However, you do have an advantage as you've already done one, and I already know that by doing one you're better the next time. But man, I'm up for it, I'm up for it.

JB: But then again, you have the advantage in a racing car at the moment, you're in a better car so… It's pretty even.

Quote from mr grady :load of old b******s

the 97 season meant nothing to scumaster and ****arri because they didnt win the titles.....so it wasnt a punishment. they should have excluded him from the NEXT season, that would have hurt!
as for the monaco qualy incident, if anyone else had parked on the track, and he did park it..........they would had been D/Q and rightly so.
and dont even mention the alonso/massa incident...that was a complete and utter joke!
also, remember the 5mm bargeboards on the red cars? being too big? can you inagine another team getting away with that in a sport where micromillimeters count?

lets just say FIA is a completely stuffed up organisation with a president that's too busy being spanked in the ass...

and that Ferrari seems to be at the favourable receiving ends of their decisions more often than other teams... (well way more often perhaps)

but FIA did do their bits to try to slow down Ferrari, but that was when Ferrari were dominating and people are starting to not bother about the racing, cos there weren't any...
