Quote from DevilDare :Its not actually. Not in Abu Dhabi.

Hence why it wasnt spraying and probably tastes crap. (Hamilton spitting it out)

they had a taste of it, and then decided it was much better to pour it all out.

Vettel NEVER lead the Championship throughout the season, but he lead at the only point of time that mattered.

I really wouldn't thought I'd be saying this 2 hours ago. But Congratz to Vettel~!!!

Quote from mythdat :I don't think Ferrari got fooled. It was probably the right call to bring Alonso in. If they didn't, Webber on fresh tyres would have jumped him

Not really. It would then be Webber stuck behind the Renault.

Ferrari is much easier on their tyres than the McLaren, and Button managed to pit some 1x laps later with the option tyres.

Quote from EliteAti :Webber came to pits because of the small tire hit on wall in the early race. Ferrari got fooled.

Yeah, but I can already picture myself listening to a Horner interview claiming they pitted Webber early to trick Alonso to pit and ended up in traffic.

At this rate Kubica will pit and come back out in front of Petrov, and more importantly Alonso~!

Quote from EliteAti :Man, Petrov is doing absolutely tremendous job at pissing off the Spaniards. Time is running out, but RBR (Vettel or Webber) deserve the title. Ferrari messed up at following Webber in pits.

Did Red Bull out-smarted Ferrari in the pits, or was it purely coincidence?

I think I know what Red Bull would say after the race if it works out for them, although I doubt it was planned.

Quote from CSF :Alonso would still need to pass Petrov.

Petrov is doing a very good job of revenging on Alonso (Alonso puntured Petrov tyres in Turkey when he was in a points scoring position). So good on him, and I really hope he can continue to hold Alonso up.

But I can't really see Petrov able to hold Alonso up for another 20 laps.

Quote from CSF :Grats to Seb on the title.

Not quite yet, with Lewis stupidly eating up his tyres behind the Renault. Lewis might just as well need another pitstop and gift the all important position to Alonso.

why didn't the Toro Rosso move over for the Red Bull~?!

Alonso most certainly have one hand on the title.

Unless the McLarens managed to chop him off at the start tomorrow. But then it'd be the McLarens breaking apart and Alonso continuing on undamaged. lol

i so ****ing hope that webber wont get the title, because he's crying like a child all the time that a younger boy like vettel is having the opportunity to take him the title away and wont help him anyway.. and the fact that redbull is building the team around vettel makes him cry like a baby too, that sucks. actually i dont like alonso, but i wish he could make it, because vettel needs another year to become more constant.

he isn't crying. It was all part of the politics that happens in this sport. And some of his quote were taken way out of proportion anyway.

It's the same as McLaren saying they wouldn't ask Button to be number 2 quite yet, but deep inside they would know themselves it's exactly what they must do. They just said it that way to put more pressure on Red Bull, especially on their drivers Webber and Vettel.

so... there might well be TWO "Lotus" teams in F1 next year.

Quote from DieKolkrabe :And how does that justify a penalty? It's like they don't want people to pass

he tried to push another driver off the track, the other driver didn't back off, BANG!

It certainly deserves a warning, but I don't think he'd need the "reminder" from the marshall. lol

Quote from NSX_FReeDoM :Lewis said the grip was okay, hinting he wanted to get on with it.

of cos he does~!

And he must be praying for Alonso to aquaplane and take out BOTH Red Bull as well as Alonso himself.

they've got the army in to finish off the grandstand, but obviously they forgot the drainage?

It havn't really rain for an hour, but the track surface was still basically a thin layer of river.

Quote from CSF :I'm sorry but that is rubbish, the only way they will disperse the water is actually running on the track. If it's going to rain more, then delay the start even more then. Running around at 100kmh is just going to move the water a little and then it will come back down. Just stupid.

Check out the long straight in the first sector, with that amount of spray even when they're running behind a safety car, sorry but that just isn't possible.

Yes they will clear the spray quicker, but cars will also aquaplane off onto the walls from those standing water. And it'd be worse when the cars at the back of the queue can't see the mess that's happened...

Quote from Boris Lozac :This is my main concern, the way that last turn links onto the straight, it is freakin amazing, something i can't remember exists on any other track.. I'm afraid they'll change that for next year..

Martin Brundle have a very easy fix for the pit entrance.

Just straighten it up and head straight to the pit instead of having that mickey mouse section to enter the pit!

Quote from CSF :

Can't work out why Petrov got a penalty. Heidfeld goes left, Nico right... and Massa should have got something for his ridiculous turn one. Pretty abysmal driving from someone who should be under pressure.

perhaps they think from the evidence they got he could have lifted...

it's certainly not cool to have 2 cars from the top 10 getting away so slowly, and it's worse they're on either side of the grid, almost guaranteed it's going to get messy...

Quote from BlueFlame :I think Petrov was unlucky, he was almost clear of Hulkenburg when (Heidfeld?) came over the front of him and he was forced left a bit. Still quite a rookie mistake. Great race from Kobayashi as per usual!

yeah and unfortunately lifting off the throtle on the straight was never an option for racing drivers...

Hulkenburg could have ideally stay to the left of the track instead of sort of moving towards the middle slightly... But I have to see a replay of that again.

Jensen qualifying on the prime, was that a "team decision" or a "clear team strategy"~?

or perhaps it would works wonder for him tomorrow. This year's McLaren isn't great in tyres conservation (as can be seen from Singapore, towards the end of their first stint on option they were lapping like 2-3sec slower than Vettel and Alonso), and with all rubber washed off the track, the options with full tank most probably wouldn't last very long...

Quote from Intrepid :If the Korean GP is cancelled it's all but over for McLaren. They are behind the development curve, and are out of championship contention. both lewis AND Jenson have done fantastically well this season to be anywhere close, but you can't keep up that level of performance all season before mistakes creep in.

to be fair through, it's Vettel's accident that put Jensen out of the championship hunt...

but yeah, they never really have the fastest car all season, and they're only in the hunt thanks to Red Bulls cocking it up and Ferraris having a run of bad luck early on...

Quote :I am very disappointed with the way how they have used my name by their own marketing. Renault have never even seriously considered to have me driving for them, and I can assure you of one hundred percent sure that I do not drive Renault next year, Raikkonen report bluntly.

Sorry, but have to amend the quote slightly.
