it must be either McLaren or Williams that bought up the KERS thing again~ McLaren had the best systems, Williams is having theirs tested and ran by Porsche...
Button made Q2, but couldn't get any running in it cos he stopped at Q1... didn't caught what happened cos I just got back home, expecting Q1 to be boring and sh*t, and expecting the 3 new teams with their 6 cars would fill out nearly all of the bottom 7. DAMN~!
so basically effectively, BOTH Ferrari and BOTH McLaren couldn't run in Q2~!
to make it worse, for my 2 teams on F1 manager, one is running McLaren (Merc) engine and the other is running Ferrari engine... that'd be a big fat zero score for me so far this weekend... lol
But according to Button his decision wasn't a hard one because he had no options but to pit, his inters were destroyed, while somehow for all others it was still ok~
(He then added if the track was dry enough to destroy his inters, it meant it must have been dry enough for slicks, which obviously turned out to be true and it was a pretty smart decision)
So it'll depends on the rules on the server you're racing on.
But because us LFS players ain't really professional racing drivers, most servers ask drivers being shown the blue flags to allow the leaders pass. It is not really a "get out of the way" thing, one can always allow the others pass safely on the straight while staying on the racing line...
Blue flag does not mean get out of the way in some series, but some still had the authority to "order" the driver being lapped to allow the faster car pass, somehow. XD
But as far as I could remember, in pretty much everything other than the American series, the guy being blue flagged usually make life quite easy for the faster guys to pass.
Vettel should have and could have walked the last two... About time his luck changes~
the f-duct thingy is good for straight line speed, which should aid the McLaren with running more wings, but its cars are still way behind in terms of downforce. McLaren is making a statement or two with its practice pace, but the Red Bull really should walk this one. It's embarassing for them to have the fastest car by a country mile, and yet only got 18 points from the first two races... Which is exactly how much Renault have got thanks to Kubica's 2nd place in Oz...
and what would the reaction be if Lewis didn't pitted and it turned out that pitting was a good idea~?
he knows he gets plenty of attention from the media and the fans, especially after what happened on Friday night, and he could have easily brush it away by just saying the normal PR s**t of "we win as a team and we lose as a team", but well, too late for that now.
luckily the media havn't made a big deal out of it, yet, but better wait till we see the headlines tmr morning~
whenever Lewis did something that isn't really right (or a failure to turn left XD), it's inevitable that lots of things would be said about it... lol
on a sidenote, not much seems to have been said about Schumacher's ambitous move round the outside into T1. Yes it was a racing incident, but since he was the guy that came from behind making the really late braking move, he should've known very well that there were two cars down there on the inside~?
As I said, it's easier to think better in hindsight... Especially since teams are still learning about what should and should not be done with these non-refueling era~
But during that period of the race, Michael Schumacher set a massive fastest lap, McLaren probably panic-ed, pitted Lewis in order to split the strategy to get everything covered.
Either that, or they'd expect an easier time for Lewis to pass someone who hasn't pitted, or weren't expecting Lewis to be able to make his tyres last.
