What's the problem? If you don't want to pay for it, or can't...then don't. It's not like you can't download the lower res skins anymore just like you could before. Getting worked up about an OPTIONAL feature, somehow I expected these kind of comments.
It was made clear WHY charging for it is necessary, and that nothing will change for the worse if you decide not to use this OPTION.
Whiners.
Money for a good graphic card but no money for the highres skin option...right.
There was a message for me. Although it took quite some time for me and LFS seemed to hang. I decided to alt-tab out of it, and it instantly went to the main menu screen. (Like it was already finished converting the skins, but didn't progress to the main menu by itself) Could have been a coincidence though
Some great improvements yet again, a lot of people will be happy with the high-res skin option I think
This is how I see it, you may not, if that's the case, don't bother posting.
So basically you post an improvement suggestion, but you only want people that agree with you to post. I see.
Oh noes!
This is a public discussion forum, anyone can say anything they want, within the rules of the forum. That's the way I see it. I'll write this down in bold red letters so it seems more important...
About your suggestion, the devs can't just put a car in the game without having to pay for licensing costs. Secondly, LFS isn't FnF.
On the bumper it seems to have the wrong material applied. It should contain a material or texture for the numberplate, yet it´s using the skin texture.
Concerning the area near the windshield, that is a smoothing problem. I can´t tell you how to correct it as I don´t use Lightwave.
First of all, good job on the track guide, looks very promising
It's the same format as used on a lot of video sites like youtube and google.
Sure you can add them, but maybe you have to do it by hand if your editor doesn't have any predefined stuff for it.
What would be most convenient and simple (I think) is to upload your videos to youtube for example, and there will be a piece of code right on the page you can use to embed it in your page. It will save you the bandwith as well
Well, you get new unlocks every friday, but you might get one sooner if you email the devs and make clear you're having problems connecting. They might have some suggestions for you to check out.
But try what Sinbad said, that's a good suggestion.
Well spotted. Although it's just the way the previous fox model was. The FOX got a couple of small updates in patch T, making the head rest are much better and less flat. So, nothing that C407 can do about it. Well. apart from using the newer cmx ofcourse
I did read that. However my post wasn't directed at you but at the TS. In your case it may have been the provider, but we don't know if that's the problem in his case as well, so I don't really get what you're trying to say.
It surely must be something on your end, because other people succeed in unlocking it. Did you try anything that was suggested? Noone can't help you if they can't narrow down the possible causes.
Resizing your skin doesn't do any good for the quality. If the original is jaggy and low quality it will only get worse. You've got to use/make higher quality decals. Also, start out at a bigger size (2048*2048 preferably).
That IS taking revenge.
Even if you've been done wrong by another player, if you're going for this kind of approach you're no better than him. This behaviour only leads to more trouble, like being banned. Plus other players could eventually be involved while they have nothing to do with it. Be the wise one and report him to the admin/wrecker barricade next time.
Have you checked your firewall settings? Maybe it's blocking LFS for some reason.
Do you use hibernate on your PC?
When you do succeed in unlocking, do you ever lock it again manually yourself?
New unlocks are given every friday to a total maximum of 2 unlocks at a time. So what happened since last friday? You must have been able to unlock it since then.
Have you changed anything on your PC lately (like hardware upgrades)?
Have you searched for other topics about the same problem?
