Quote from scoobyrbac :Here is the picture

Where does it say LFS gave you that? You just have a trojan which get's active once you download something or whatever. I haven't gotten a virus in over 5 years, and an LFS patch is the last thing I expect getting a virus from. Clean up your system.

Quote from scoobyrbac :mine did

The file you download is the same file everybody downloads, so everybody should have gotten a virus. And I didn't.

Quote from Scawen :while we get on with the multiplayer-incompatible patch which we hope to finish in just a few weeks.

These last few patches have made LFS a lot smoother for me. Haven't had any problems. I'm glad we're getting to an official patch W already as i think it has great improvements which will give new users an even better first impression. Thanks Scawen

You're probably not going to answer this, but I just have to ask, will there be any updates from Eric in the next incompatible patch?

Hate is such a big word. I don't use the word rCraptor often, never actually, but I do think it's crap. You should see what is said about LFS on RSC sometimes, it's the same thing.
Some people will like LFS, some people will like rFactor, some people will like both.
People have their preference, it doesn't mean they hate the other.

Quote from johnfromsunnymull :well i asked her this morning before she went shopping that she would think about it so hopefully its a YES when she gets home, if not i will have to pay it with check!

fingers crossed I hope she'll let you.
And if your mum doesn't approve, tell her that shopping for new shoes or whatever is such an utter waste of money!

Quote from STRAHD :Download is now in the first post. Im happy enough with them for now to let ya have em. Have a look at them and let me know what you think, or give improvement suggestions. Im gonna redo the FXO again, I like it but its too much, the next one will be B&W like the XR and FZ interiors.

Great, thank you

You don't have to fill those in, if you click on the link Victor gave you, and click on the "I agree" button, those will be filled in for you.

file->open archive...

or you can probably right click the rar file and extract it from there.
it really doesn't get any simpler than that.

maybe open the rar file with it and extract the contents?
there's always google and the help button in just about any program.

Why can't you buy it? I doubt many people will be willing to sell their license.
Besides, if someone would sell you his license you would be stuck with his username, and there's a risk you buy an account which been banned on a lot of servers.

Good ideas. Your first suggestion isn't particularly important to me, but I can see what use it can have for people.
Definitely agree on the second one, this is something I would really like to see in LFS some day. I've been experimenting with one of the addons available that can do this and it gives great results. IMO the default camera's aren't that good.
Another thing that would complement both your suggestions would be some sort of "situation prediction thingy". What I mean is, someone get's a blue flag, or there's a yellow flag situation, two cars very close to eachother or whatever, and LFS automatically switches to the action. But I can imagine this would maybe be quite difficult to do right.

It's a pre-made scene that's being used for 90% of the LFS renders I see. There's not really much to think about it. You just changed a skin and hit render. I don't want to sound mean, but you asked for an opinion

Why would it look better if you had the CMX importer?

using lfstweak online is only possible if the host is running lfstweak too.

I would also advise you to issue a report at the wrecker barricade so other hosts can review the matter and take actions as well, link in my sig.

The front tyre seems to penetrate the bodywork
BTW, if you want to get rid of the white window edges (and all the other white areas), there's a small white square with a black outline on the interior texture. Color the white part in photoshop or whatever and the window edges will take on that color.

Quote from George Kuyumji :No we wouldnt. Be true to yourself. For the big majority of people, a real life Track will always be more interesting than a Fantasy one.

I'm sorry but once again you don't seem to read what I said. I didn't mention anything about one being more interesting than the other.
Are you trying to claim that if tomorrow Scavier would release a new fictional track available for download that not everybody would jump on it? Because that's what I was talking about. If so, then you're delusional.

It's quite funny that you seem to think you're speaking for everyone and that your way of thinking is the undeniable truth.
Saying I should be true to myself, give me a break.... Basically you imply I can't really believe in what I say, I'm actually lying to myself. Right...

a real life Track is an essential feature of a Racing Simulation, its just the way it is

I'm probably going to get burned for this again, but IMO you're once again claiming your opinion is the undeniable truth.

Please respect my opinion as I respect yours. You seem to get quite agitated because I don't agree with you.

The reproduction of the essential features of something, for example, as an aid to study or training.

So that everybody around here knows the track when they get on the real track right? I guess it also depends on what is essential to one or the other.

Anyway enough of this.
