Erh, actually...no
May I refer you to search for previous discussions on this subject so you can see that most agree that LFS is a racing simulator, not pimp mah ride.
After S3, LFS is considered to be finished, but I assume that when a serious issue comes up there will be fixes. But no further development as far as features are concerned. There's a possibility that LFS will be made moddable so that new content can be inserted into the sim by third party groups, but no decision has been made on that.
After S2 development on S3 will start, meaning a series of S3 alpha versions, followed by one or a couple of beta versions, and a final after that.
The above is based solely on common belief and on what I have read about it, and none of it is a 100% certainty.
convenience and making sure people who don't frequent the frontpage and/or forum don't come complaining how they can't find any players online anymore and that LFS is dead. Which ofcourse would be caused by them not updating to the latest patch.
Until now noone has been able to establish that an LFS patch downloaded from any official mirror has a virus so there isn't anything wrong with the devs' choices.
And once again, patch W is only hosted on liveforspeed.net.......
this is how FUD starts and spreads.
//edit: oh, and filefront IS an LFS mirror already!
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but the patch hasn't even been posted on the LFS homepage, and I don't see a download for patch W on gamershell.
Maybe you're talking about the patch V download?
Anyway, I'll download the patch V from gamershell to see if they're infected. I can't imagine though.
edit: skip that, they have tons of different servers ofcourse, which one did you download from?
