I watch A1GP most of the time but it isn't all that spectacular imo. I don't see that much overtaking. Last year for some reason was more exciting than this year.
The problem is that it really doesn't bring anything new to the table. Not one single thing is unique from other classes. Well, maybe the driving for your nation nonsense. Why is it nonsense? It's just a bunch of GP2 teams running a car for a certain nation in most cases. If it would really be a nations cup, then the teams would be FROM those nations, not just the driver.
Why compare F1 to A1GP? Because of the "1" ? They're completely different series. A1GP better compares to GP2, whereas F1 better compares to Champcars.
And any series that allows goofs like Nur Ali to "compete" can't be taken seriously, GP2 is such a better class!

LFS can abolutely be trusted, not a single doubt in my mind about it.
Nope, you pay 24 pounds and you'll have S2, racing online is free. I don't know much about credit cards since I don't have one, but there won't be any transaction fees by the LFS team.
After getting S2 you will be a very happy person, you'll be overcome by a feeling of satisfaction and your life will feel... complete.
You won't be harassed by spam or stuff like that, don't worry.

You could just make a copy of your LFS folder, and install the patch on that one. That way you can always check out the new stuff while keeping your other install "safe" That's what I always do anyway
What's the trouble of using the search? Are you that lazy?
The driver is only forced to spectate if it's an intentional false start. When you move within reasonal boundaries you receive a drivethrough.

Well, that's a personal opinion, you can't speak for anybody than yourself. I am really looking forward to the interior updates, so I would like to see those sooner. Besides that, graphical updates are more Eric's work, so him working on graphic updates won't slow down any work Scawen has to do on for instance controller options.
My point being, let the devs decide what they'll be working on first. They know what has to be done.

Yes, all cars use the same brake disc texture. The open wheelers and the Raceabout use different caliper textures though, so maybe that's what you were thinking about.

What he is trying to say is to apply a fake shadow using a texture which is made for the shape of each car. So it's not a calculated shadow cast, but a premade texture. And the use that in combination with the already present calculated shadows.
+0.5 from me. It could turn out ok, but I'm hoping updates to the graphics engine will provide a better solution. Shadows in LFS are quite crappy, especially shadows coming from trackside objects. Plus LFS doesn't have multiplied shadows. So for example when a car goes under a bridge the shadow of the car doesn't get multiplied by the shadow coming from the bridge.

Because it is a good wheel. You just have to set it up properly. So like already said disable the centering spring. I don't hear horrible sounds when I use it. Sure it makes a sound which any wheel will.
I have a good sense of humour, but I didn't find any humour in that, and therefore I am crap so I hear.

The FO8 is not an F1 car just because it has a V8, the BF1 is an F1. The FO8 is an F3000, period.

The FO8 is an F3000 car. An F3 would be in between the FOX and FO8 performance wise.

I don't see a need for a system like this. LFS is a racing simulator, some people want to use it to drift, and they can. So I don't see why there would have to be a seperate rice version of LFS.
Plus I don't like the idea of having to race a car I might not like to get the cars I do like. In a singleplayer game this would be a challenge, but LFS is very multiplayer oriented where the racing online provides the biggest challenge.

On the XR_Interior1.dds there is a white square with a black outline around it. The white part controls the color of tha garnish (although that part isn't white ingame, which probably has to do with vertex shading).
Anyway, you can give the white area another color and it will change the part you're talking about, but that's about it.
Also, changing that color will also change the color of the window edges and several other parts of the car you probably don't want to have a different color.
