Quote from JackDaMaster :From what I remember Prodrive withdrew because the FIA wouldn't let them use McLaren customer cars.

Which they should have expected.

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :Prodrive can't be too happy about this situation.

If I recall correctly, Prodrive did have an opportunity to join the grid a few years ago but withdrew so I guess Dave Richards can relate to USF1 and Campos if they won't make it.

Wouldn't the "jumper point" provoke T1 carnage?

Quote from pearcy_2k7 :So if you had an awesome car part, that no-one else has thought of and it was easy to replicate like say 2 weeks to make it, you would have it on the car at this test??

Well, that's the dilema. If we are talking something that is so much an integral part of the package as a diffuser then yes or only do some basic mechanical/electronic tests.

Redbull is probably staying home for a very good reason.

Quote from pearcy_2k7 :Yeah i accept that they probably won't put parts on cars to get the other teams guessing. But surely they won't be using their best diffusers etc for the other teams to copy so early on in the testing?

Testing an aero-package without the appropriate diffuser is useless.

Just love the volvo 300 series. My first car was a 340 variomatic. Went quite sideways when provoked.

People make way too much of Bernies comment. It's not like he would seriously consider it himself. It's just a way to make the headlines and get people to talk about it.

Any rule that results in having slow car's in front of fast ones (without earning it) ruins the true competition (imho). That's why I hate reverse grids, weight penalties and class balancing.

These are great cars for close racing. Unfortunately the server is barely populated. Not even NDR-members on it.

Guys, if you launch a new server and you want it to be a succes you should at leas support it yourselves the first few days so it gets noticed.

Now it's time to lose the gear indicator on car's with H-pattern gearboxes.

A1GP may not have provided the best racing but it was good to have somethin in the off-season.

I have never (and probably never will) followed superleague because of the deep hate I am harbouring for anything remotely related to football.

Has A1GP been completely called off?

I am unable to find any recent statements about it. Having passed the date of the 2dn event and the official site still considering 2008-2009 as the current season tells me it's dead.

Quote from JCTK :even Ron Dennis wouldn't hv done that"~ lol

I believe Ron Dennis once crashed a Mclaren F1 with Gerhard Berger as a passenger when he was showing off on a circuit. (don't have a source, I remember reading a long time ago)

And DTM!

As long as there is only one tyre supplier it really does not make any difference.

Thanks, does this compromise the sound processing compared to an onboard (realtec) audio device?
Would a bluetooth headset work with LFS?

Maybe a silly question but would a bluetooth headset work for LFS? (not for teamspeak, I am talking about the ingame sound).

I have a hunch that it would not work because the soundcard is effectively being bypassed but I would like to have some confirmation.

the antiroll bar absorbs the roll but as a trade in the load will shift more to the outer wheels.

Stiffening the front arb causes the front end to absorb more of the roll which means the rear wheels will be loaded more evenly but the outer front wheel to be loaded even more compared to the inside one. This will make the car understeer. and the outer front tire will heat/wear more.

Stiffening the rear will make the rear end absorb more of the roll and keep the front more evenly loaded at the trade of rear end grip.

I use this a lot to balance a car in my LFS setups.

Quote from Jordan2007 :Its a shame, But How does anyone know? Scawen might say hes not releasing any tracks, but It shouldnt take this long for Tyre physics and the scirroco

I Reckon for the wait we have had with the scirroco, i think hes gonna release a track.

Why should he, he does not owe us anything. We all have our money's worth with LFS as it is today. You can consider the VWS as a bonus whenever it's released.

Even if the track is finished the only correct thing to do (from a business point of view) would be saving it for S3.

I somehow can't imagine S2 can feed the dev's for years to come (unless they have other commercial projects running aswell).
