Quote from Luke.S :i hope this is true. It will be the first ever real lfs track. And it will mean people don't complain.

The problem with real things is that it gives certain people (not me) more stuff to complain about because there is a real life reference.

Can I vote for the old TG format?

Without studio audience and fake Apples vs oranges competitions.

Quote from Qurpiz :Was Rubens on primes too from the start?

I just remember finnish TV asking why the hell McLaren's putting Heikki in there with primes

Rubens started on primes, jenson on options (if I recall correctly)

[QUOTE=Qurpiz;1261141]Entertaining race
Heikki, had a stupid strategy from the start (a mammoth gas load AND primes, what can you expect in the first laps?)
QUOTE]

Yes, really stupid... Rubens won the race with it (a few kg's more actually).

Quote from 510N3D :Great news, even for S1 users!! I do hope however, that we'll get some more imformations at some point in order to help us adjusting the setups accordingly.

If the tyre physics are altered dramatically I do not think it will just be adjustments.

I reckon new default setups would need to be released and I hope the setup options will be reduced to realistic parameters.

How about a kart discussion thread?

Never mind, Intrepid could have that with Vinny over PM.

Quote from Mustafur :sorry but Mclarens situation was much worse, they stole data from ferrari.

I am not compairing these things. I mean that the fines that are usually given would not hurt a team like renault. Punishments like grid penalties and exclusions hurt every team equally. (o.k. a title contender a bit more maybe).

Quote from Falcon140 :Mistakes happen. Fines should be the penalty, not DQ from a GP. That's just ridiculous.

Fines are hardly effective or they must be as astronomical as the one McLaren recieved.

Quote from Mustafur :Kimi finished Half the race in France last year with a car spitting out burning metal pieces, that is more dangerous then this imo.

I'm not saying Renault's penalty is consistent with other rulings am I?

They knew the wheel was very probable to come off so the punishment is fair in my opinion.

Demanding wheels hubs to be secured by additional theters would not make sense if it's allowed to finish a lap knowing your wheel is not secured to the hub. Even without taking the recent accidents into account.

Quote from NSX_FReeDoM :After seeing Kubica's crash in 2007 i thought with today's safety standards no one would get killed in formula racing anymore. apparently not.

Sadly it will allways be a part of it. Only the intervals between fatal accidents stretch.

I think his F3000 experience was more relevant.

I grew up with Mac's but a Mac capable of satisfactory running LFS will be quite expensive I am afraid.
Has Vista matured by now?

I am about to buy a new pc which means I am on the verge of the dilemma of installing the old XP sp1 OS and updating it to SP3 or installing Vista which might be included with the PC.

I had the ambition to stretch the lifespan of my current pc until the release (and support) of windows 7 but it will not last that long I am afraid.

I have not heard many complaints about Vista recently as a year ago but this could be due to the fact that many people kept XP because of the teething problems with Vista.

Can Vista be considered as a stable OS by now?

Quote from danthebangerboy :Hello? HELLOOO!? I was looking for the original topic, but i can't seem to find it anywhere, has it fallen asleep, or got annoyed with all the arguing in here and has wandered off?

This is the way this forum flows. We might end up discussing cleveland steamers.

Quote from Shotglass :i just cant see fota asking bernie to tag along... certainly not in his current role

The problem is that he probably has some aces up his sleeve. Maybe the formula 1 name (or did that one go to slavica?).

Quote from SamH :Just listened to Bernie talking to the BBC. Gut feeling, after hearing him, is that he's going to take the F1 name to FOTA and leave Max behind. Deep gut feeling.

I did not hear the interview but this is my prediction aswell.

I can not imagine Bernie not being on the winning side when it counts. He does not feel he owes the FIA anything.

(Apart from a big cut out of his empire to his ex-wife) I can not remember him losing anything over the past few decades.

To be honest, I'd rather see true racing teams on the grid than overspending car manufacturers.
