Far worse than Liuzi passengering into the field in T1 aswell. The fact that multiple cars where crashed out does not instantly make losing control on the grass a crime.
If Vettel lost it and went into the wall then Alonso would have been punished even though the move was the same. (ok maybe not, it's a Ferrari @ Monza)
There is quite a lot of bitching about iracing lately but I must say I am still enjoying it a lot.
I drive skipies most of the time and the NTM feels good to me in this car. (apart from the total absence of tire wear).
However, the necesity for having bought all cars to compete in multiclass racing is clearly commercially driven, not technically. If they can prevent people with run out subscriptions to take part in races, there is no doubt they could keep people from racing cars they have on their hard drive but did not pay for. It's just a commercial decision that is defended poorly by the marketing department.
It seems quite common for race sims to not meet deadlines.
They may have been a bit ambitious with their forcast but I prefer a late/incomplete rollout to a halfbaked one.
I still enjoy iracing as it is but look forward to the NTM.
People who do not and have have prolonged their subscription shouldn't have done that. You lose nothing by letting it expire. just revive the account after the rollout if iracing is not good enough for you in the current state. That's a more effective way to motivate the devs to stay on top of it than prolonging anyway.
Road cars are not as exiting and pure anymore either so it's only natural that that reflects in racing aswell. Technology just takes away character but sticking to proven technology would be artificial aswell.
I think running on electrics in the pits is quite sensible and even though it might seem dull, leaving the pitlane and firing the engine up on the line could make up for it.
I do not think this suggestion of Bernie should be taken too seriously. If it will be implemented, it will only lead to conspiracy theories from teams that are disadvantaged by the timing of the "rain".
In my opinion the moveable wings and kers are allready too artificial for proper racing, with fake rain in the mix F1 will turn into something less related to racing than mario kart.
