Quote from -Willi- :LFS doesn't save the size and postition in windowed mode -
how about some script commands to set size/position of lfs-window? (or save these after quitting)

I always have to resize and move LFS windows after start - I don't use full screen, because I use a second window on bottom of desktop to display outgauge data.

if u use nvidia driver thats usually taken care by nview

lfs is the only sim with specialized input code for digital inputs. its been tested and deved for around a 2 year cycle and went thru many iterations, votings, testings and its been settled as it is.
the perfect balance was achieved imho, making it hard enuff not to be frustrating /easy enuff while not being overassisted and not allowing better times than wheel configs for not so good drivers...
also the assistance to key code was deved as if a real car maker was forced to make a car with key input. no funny tricks occur, all could have been done irl.

Quote from ajp71 :3 things:

1. LFS has been around since 2001

huh? u could have sent it to devs, that would have saved them having to code it and release the first version to public august/september, that is late 2002.

Quote from ajp71 :I find that very hard to believe and guess that's a random fact you made up. The rFactor/GTR communities are pretty big although I think GPL is still the biggest, LFS being one of the smaller ones.

lfs was biggest (activity) in rsc BY FAR. lfs is biggest in online players at any moment.
in its 3 years in existance lfs represents 350.000 to 400.000 posts (frozen rsc + lfsf) .
gpl has 495.000 in more than double the lifetime of the sim.
rfactor and nk are residual.

my argument is about the mechanics of such tracking for the player.
as u said yourself its similar.
your ignorant comment wasnt offline, it was wrong. i dont mind being called ignorant if it fits. i am ignorant in a lotta shit, mostly related to shit i dont like , for example, gaysex.
bottomline, headtracking without goggles makes it odd for one to blend with whats being shown for the simple reason that the movements you do with your head dont affect what you are seeing "in ya face" (u have to skew vision to static monitor).
any webcam+soft (which have improved a lot over the years) can show u this and there is no need to try a trackir (which of coz is less artisan and less ruff) to reach this obvious conclusion.
trackir is not nirvana. its a cheap trick, which can have some limited usability in certain situations but never as a prime example of "how it should be".

as u can see from my avatar, head tracking hats always interested me.

Quote from Cue-Ball :While GTR and rFactor are the big dogs in the sim world right now

LOL, not even one tenth of the players.

Quote from Burnzoire :How incredibly ignorant of you

enlighten me then.
ignorant is the one who wants to ignore the facts.

i can model the axes of translation + axes of rotation with my webcam and soft. not all of them in lfs. long before trackir even existed.
so how come it isnt basically the same thing (only more artisan).
if u know what a basic principle is then im waiting for the enlightement from you.

u can search an old vr headtracker movie from a japanese in rsc since that archive isnt here...
that archive is only waiting for rsc to close for people to wake up to 3 years of lfs history going down the drain.
its trackir proprietary nature that doesnt support direct input (dx).
if it did, it would instantly work in lfs just like all the other trackers do...

if im wrong plz correct me. since i dont own trackir nor plan to, since any webcam+soft can do basically the same and its not anything near proper glasses with tracking.

theres only one nation that comes here and celebrates its local holiday days as if everyone else shared the same culture.

pathetic, like their president.

ethnocentrism and colonial games in this day and age? how retarded is the self proclaimed most advanced nation of this world.
grab a mirror and some un-brainwashed head to look at the reflection and spare us.

want more patience? stop crushing the rest of the world feet and hearts.

Quote from A.Ulleri :Great to know my track was used for such projects. Whats a shame is the lack of "promised" support from ISI with track building. They really dropped the ball on this one. With that said all the projects I have in mind are just waiting for the proper platform. rFactor wasn't it unfortunatly. Personally I hope when LFS is final and they open the doors for modding, the support and instruction will be good enough. Could you imaging flying around Roadone or two with one of those GTR or open wheel cars in LFS.

actually i can more than imagine...
btw, i dont give a crap either about isi arcade toys no matter how well disguised in their usual 3 to 6 month cycle reashes... my comment was for road3 that was originally for n2003 (rf didnt even exist as project by then).
n2003 still has best ff feel and aero so i give it a spin once in a while.
spa67, road2 and long watkins are some of my fave tracks.
road2 tbh for me, is the perfect balance.

Welcome Alex. I used ya Road Two Rattlesnake Point for so long in n2003 and did about 6 months of gtp testing on it. actually was my main track for test results. i know trenz also used to like it.
fab stuff. shame ya future projects never became present (at least publically).
keep it up , u obviously had talent.
