just make the custom res.
u also get higher brightness since u gonna get the scanlines closer when memorizing the squashed res/sync in the monitor to maintain the proper aspect ratio.
activate that color bright thingy in nv drivers to counter that washed out effect also (maybe that helps you)

thats probably because u overwrote the updated lfs font in \data\abc with older viewer font.
just unpack patch Q and it will work fine.
lfsviewer works fine here and so does newest lfs.

if u want a bit more info on task processes without using more complicated commercial apps like wintasks etc, u can use the fab processxp.exe from sysinternals. the best small utils ever for pc imho, and free!
