Ever since the move of the master server, every 15 mintues or so it seems to randomly throw 3-5 people out of a populated server ([LTC] Live To Cruise).
Nothing has changed on the LTC server side of things, just wondering if it could be something to do with the master server?
Maybe you should write your own from the ground up as a programming project, rather than just editing something that is out there.
You will be able to do a lot more if you make your own, rather than coming across the normal "dang, I can't do that because of the initial mod doesn't allow me."
Posted a replay of this error occuring. Hopefully this will help you!
edit: after doing some testing, it looks like it is the XFR, so I have disabled it on my host to try stop the error. Will let you know if it happens again
You have also got to think about servers that are using a 3rd-party modification (via the insim protocol!).
The uniqiue ID that these applications obtain from LFS is the username, if you were to change your username you would lose all of your stats/information on the server modifictionations, too!
(unless LFS updated to uniqueID rather than username on bans, and had the uniqueID within the NCN packet)
It could have been due to latency of sending the information to the LFSW Server. Could have attempted to 're-send' the packet to let the LFSW server that it is 'online'. Not sure though!
I know where you are coming from, and I believe i've requested it somewhere.
But that isn't what the OP is asking for, he clearly stated he wanted it to store the accounts via the IP address.
