Wow, interesting. Seems strange they picked that track when it's quite similar to Kyoto but who cares, the more update the better! I really like the track in real life, so hopefully it should be great!
I just fancy something really tight and technical, hence why I said Cadwell, as at the moment pretty much all the tracks are very wide. The closest we've got so far is, for me, these two corners on FE Gold, especially the one in the distance. If they made a whole track which was this tight and enclosed by trees then that would be good enough for me!
Thanks very much to everyone that's voted already, really appreciated! Quick update:
We are offering 3 randomly selected people who have voted for me free passenger laps in my race car at a track day, driven around at race speed by myself. All you have to do is forward the confirmation email you received after voting to prize @ alexgassman.com (remove the spaces) If you voted from 10 different accounts and as a result have 10 different confirmation emails, you can forward each of the emails to the above address from the accounts you voted with. So the more times you vote, the more confirmation emails you'll have, and the more chance you have of winning one of the three passenger rides!
The fact that all you could do in the trial version was do practice laps rather than actually race probably didn't help.
Maybe only three goes was a slight exaggeration, I played it a handful of times and spent quite a time trying pretty much all the different combinations of car / track available to me. The Radical seemed like the best car out of the bunch but I still didn't particularly like the way it felt.
And I don't think I'd ever be prepared to spend the amount of money needed to unlock most of the content, maybe if I became a millionare because then I could afford it.
I just don't like the way it feels compared to LFS. If I preferred iRacing I'd probably be posting on the iRacing forum right now.
Had the Radical SR8 free month's trial. I think I played the game three times. The trial has now run out and I'm not in the slightest bit interested in stumping up the silly amounts of money to subscribe.
Personally I'm glad to see the back of Flavio. Still think Piquet's ruined his career, which team is going to want to hire a driver that if they have to fire will possibly make allagations against the team. Especially when there's so many up-and-coming F1 drivers, I don't think they'll risk it with Piquet.
Dino is on the same MSA apprenticeship course as me so I've spoken to him a few times in real life, he's a very nice guy and really quick, like you say he pretty much dominated Ginetta Juniors in 2008.
Yeh split screen seems the likely option, there is no way that looking at the previous lottery balls that were drawn and guessing from them then taking an average would get you the result. There is absolutely zero predictability to the lottery draw, it's completely random, unlike his example of people guessing the weight of the cow and the average guess being correct.
The explanation show wasn't brilliant, I prefer watching his stage shows.
I know this isn't a huge issue but it only really came to light after I decided to let off some steam in the Destruction Derby server last night with the RB4 at Blackwood.
You can normally angle the pitch of a 4WD car in flight by changing the throttle position, in simple terms keep it floored to keep the nose high, lift off to make it nose-dive. If any of you have ever jumped a 4WD R/C buggy or truck or anything then it'll be very obvious what I'm on about - you can almost make them do back / front flips depending on what you do with the throttle mid-flight.
Now whatever I tried in the RB4, lifting off, flooring it, it made absolutely no difference. It doesn't really bother me, just something I noticed and wondered if anyone had a different view on it.
Colin McRae explains it, with demonstrations, very well in this video. The explanation is from about 1:05 on, but may as well watch it all.
I forgot to mention, if you never received an email back from the website after voting, send a blank email to [email protected] from the address you submitted your vote with and that will automatically validate it.
