Brilliant for Chilton but I don't think he'll stay in front the whole race, he said that their setup was very quick but only good for one lap in practice. Obviously it won't be that extreme for the race but don't think he'll win, however much I'd love him to.

First I'd like to say thanks to everyone that voted, I've said it before but I really do appreciate it.

Ok so the results were announced today, and as you know the top 3 people with the most votes get in. Well I came 4th, by about 40 votes. To say we're annoyed is an understatement. I'd rather I'd come 10th or 20th than having been so close to winning a place. And 40's not a large number considering my total amount of votes was about 1040 and 3rd places' was about 1080. Oh well.

Sounds nasty 5Haz, I've got into the habit or just brushing the foot brake with my left foot after running over kerbs to try and avoid the dreaded pad knock-off. Do you race 924s then?

Oh and Tristan, I forgot to mention I'm in your position now too - I was leading the series up until last weekend where we had a meeting at Mallory. Qualified 2nd but half way through T1 (Gerrards) the engine died and wouldn't restart so that was it, I DNF'd. Started from 23rd in race 2 and made my way up to 5th but the way the silly points system works, basically 1 DNF means I can't win unless the guy now leading it DNF's too. Sucks.

Great stuff Tristan enjoyed watching the vids. That seemed like a pretty silly move by the yellow car to knock you off until you mentioned he locked up on the bumps.

Two thirds is a great result still, fingers crossed for Snet!

Yeh coming into the last chicane Gio was a couple of car lengths back, Herbert had already turned in and Gio used him as a brake. Can't tell me that was Herbert's fault.

Personally I think Gio's whack on Jackson was a mistake, just looked like he braked too late and had no other option, but I could well be wrong.

Seems a bit unfair, Herbert maybe hit Gio a couple of times, but lightly, and Gio wacked herbert a couple of times too.

To me Herbert played one of the best roles in that race. You don't see Turkington winging about Jason's P.I.T manouvre.

Absolute legend, still can't really believe he's gone.

That was fantastic, laps 11-14 were some of the best racing action I've seen from the BTCC for ages, definitely the best action this season.

I think Chilton summed it up in his interview after: "Plato being Plato started trying to ram off the whole world"

When Plato hit Colin I thought it was all over. Colin was already defending and Plato stuck his nose in where there was no room and the outcome was obvious. Then the action with Colin, Gio and Herbert was fantastic. I was out of my seat for about 5 minutes straight.

So Trebor, basically anyone who does anything to hurt Gio's chances of winning the championship is a tw*t? Herbert made up half of the excitement in that race, he's completely entitled to drive how he did, this is racing after all.

Oh yeh, Plato (if I'm right). Forgot about that. Last to 2nd wasn't it?

Ideally, Turkington needs to beat Gio in the last race of the day by a couple of places. He can't keep finishing behind him. But as we know, I don't think anyone can make progress through the pack on the reverse grid race quite like Giovinardi can.
