Cant help you with LFS Lapper, but im sure one of LFS's current hosting providers can sell you a server, or a number of servers, including demo servers for use however you see fit.

You can give your team members access to these servers using the control panel which most hosts use to host lfs. Not sure however how using version X would work (unsure if it's been removed from the master server, can anyone confirm)?

Basically as long as you and your team are willing to pay, im sure there are hosts that can accomodate your requests.

Agreed on the pricing, but having tried it for a few months, I cant really say iRacing gives any improvements over LFS in terms of authentic driving experience, except that the damage model seems more developed, but still soft, squidy and bendy.

It's definatly a Game in my mind, I cant compare it on simulation grounds, but there are those who do and fair play to them. rF's damage modeling is far greater than LFS/iRacing put together.

Personally I find the rF Physics to be on a par with everything else, it gets bad press about that, which ive never really understood.

But all in all, rFactor Demo Sucks, not anything else.

No problem, but curious now, What was the reason the host was required? Also why for 12 hours a day?

My first question would be "Why?" For what reason do you need the server, Why do you need it for 12 hours also?

What I was saying is that if you were on Z4 like you say, you got the message because the host you were trying to connect to (from your screenshot) was a newer host than the current version of LFS you were on. Thus, upgrading to the latest version available would remove that particualar issue.

Upgrade to Z8, problem solved... Sometimes previous test patches are not compatable with more up to date ones..

As far as im aware these days, if you set your server to Blackwood GP Standard, and use the XFG, XRG?? or FBM and use no layout objects, "licenced" demo drivers can see the server and join and race etc..

I could have that wrong and if so, some correction please..

I can confirm this on patch Z (just Z no test patches).

The first screenshot shows no texture (or the tarmac doesnt have the properties of tarmac at that point). The second showing the part of the road which is falldown-able.

Personally, I think it should be hard than it is (more requirements) to post on lfs world about the existance of a team. Or a system like the newest additions to the LFS News section, where stories are verified by staff before publication..

Its a grey area on lfs world.. I dont think its inclusion there is "vital" for the lfs dev's but then why is it there at all.. It could be cleared out if a mod were to take over its management.
