Normally, the Formula 1 season starts in Australia (1996-2009). In 2006, the Australian Grand Prix was the 3rd race, not the 1st. What was the reason?

-Australia could not find any sponsors in 2006.
-In 2006, Australia organized the Commonwealth games.
-They had a conflict with Bernie Ecclestone.
-Bahrain paid a lot of money to have the 1st race in their country.

Wonder if betting on Chandok being the first to drop out counts if he doesn't start the race? Hope so.

Here's my old Golf, 8V GTI built in january '89 with 167k km's.
Fully stock and a joy to throw about.

Had it for 4 years now and planned to keep it till she was an oldtimer, but with the gov upping the required age from 25years to 30 I'm not so sure anymore.

Welcome to the wonderful world of WW2 prop planes.
What u are experiencing are torque & gyro effects from a high HP engine+large prop bolted to a "light" airframe...add some wind and turbulence and u can be sure your plane isn't moving in the direction your nose is pointed.

U can counter it with continuous stick and rudder inputs but that get's really tiring so the best way to counter it is with trim.
Page 23 of this guide (http://web.comhem.se/~u85627360/inpursuit.pdf) has some basic info about trimming...it's too much to explain here. Many aircraft don't have rudder or aileron trim though so u will have to keep the ball centered manually.

Mmm, if u have IL-2 1946 try launching the installer from a file called "a.exe" on your CD, know that works for some where the install fails.

Ant, have u tried installing it as administrator? Hyperlobby is old and not updated for Vista/win 7 so if u are using one of those as OS that's probably the reason.

Try disabling UAC too. It definitely works on vista/7, just requires jumping through some loops.

And yup there are other modpacks, but it looks like UI1.2 is still the most used both in coops and dogfightservers.
UI and HSFX are merging soon though, so if u are still modfree I'd wait till next month for that. Monguse and others have gone to great lengths to get one single modpack so the community doesn't fracture into tons of different incompatible versions...but at least HSFX+UI will ensure almost everyone uses that and the hassle with 3different patches sprinkled with all kinds of different mods will be mostly a thing of the past.

Yes it's petty, but it's just some fools being mad at him for causing Barrichello's puncture and grabbing the championship from under Massa's nose last year.

Seen lots worse stuff in other sports, football to name one, without anyone even mentioning Racism.

So I did nothing illegal then, as here in Belgium we get channels that air F1 from 4 different countries on the normal non-PPV TV, including the BBC. And I only watch the BBC stream via the Britishtv.exe, none of the other channels. :P

As stated above by someone else, it works fine again...but please only use it if u recieve the BBC on your Tv allready so as to not annoy Storm Cloud any further.
I do hope next time u drive home from work u meet a police officer who is as anal about THE LAW as u seem to be and fines u for going 1MPH over the limit.

Many more patches are coming thanks to a very dedicated group with links to Maddox games. We will see radar, more planes, triggers and much more in 5.0 and beyond. They(Daidalos team) are now responsible for making official patches with maddox only doing flightmodel and graphics tweaks and ofcourse the final testing and compiling.

AAA is short for All Aircraft Arcade , a modding website that bundles tons of mods into one Unified Installer (UI) and releases them as an easy to use pack.
UI 1.1 has all AI aircraft in IL2 as flyables, many totally new aircraft, maps, graphics tweaks and alot more. UI 1.2 will be a followup with stuff like new 109's, mig-15, F9F, more maps, moving dogfight servers, rearming/refuelling at airbases etc.

Though it seems the mods conflict with 4.09 final till they get updated. So for now I would stick to 4.09m and then try UI 1.2 once it's released and compatible with 4.09.

For those looking for a stream, this little gem streams 44 british channels among which BBC Sports (for FP's), eurosport, normal BBC and much more.
U need to have VLC installed in it's default location, but for the rest it's just click and watch.
BBC sports sync is off though(other channs are fine), so u will need a recent VLC version and go into extra/synchronisation and put the synch to -3.8s.

A very worthy bump though, especially seeing as the final 4.09 patch is slated for release today and AAA's UI 1.2 will follow suit shortly after. (probably with a slight delay to make it 4.09 compatible)
