NEVER hoover an electric component. The fast moving air causes static electricity which happily jumps over to your motherboard/HDD/GPU/... and fries it.
If the board was allready dead..u are lucky that u didnt kill other components while hoovering.
Dont worry Luke.
In Singapore the customs and docksecurity guys used to get a good laugh out of my last name.
Namely Cockx. In their eyes i was Mr. Cock X, the anonymus cock who went about driving all girls crazy only to disappear into the night.
I got internet in 1997 and my nick came from the first game i played online a lot; Rogue spear.
At that time i was a nightperson (still am in fact) and chose the name Nocturnal as i tought it was fitting.
Then in my MMO period (mainly DAOC) people started to call me Nocc ,noccie or noccy, so thats where my current nick came from.
though in Ofp/ArmA , a game i play with RL friends mainly, I use Stany..which is bastardized from my real name Stijn.

Today Trulli went faster than any other driver this week at Barcelona (by almost 5tenths) , proof that the top teams were running heavy earlier or is anyone expecting them to actually qualify in the top 5 sometimes?
U raised him just fine...oval/BF1 is the perfect combo for nine year olds, either physically or mentally. Im sure once he turns ten or eleven he will prefer real tracks.
Doesnt look like a new wheel at all to me, just a DFP with a reworked centrepart (added buttons).
But i'm sure most GT5 players would be happy to shell out double the price(150€) for a refreshed DFP since it has a working horn!
Deamon ,how would u react if a burglar broke into your house and serveral of your familymembers houses (cfr. your louzy hacks). Then he disappears for a while only to come back pretending to be a policeofficer (your lfs.net account) who runs a place dedicated to convincing people your mum is a whore because she once turned him down (cfr your FM-server impersonating)
Would u go visit the guy, bring him a cake and flowers and praise his antics , or would u and your family exlude the guy with a deep and long lasting "hatred" towards him?
I think the answer is obvious, but in case u dont understand...
If u want peace on LFS, buy a new account , dont give it a stupid name, dont try and defame servers (no matter how horrible they are), dont remind people of the idiotic things u have done in the past. I'm sure u will be left alone and even mangage to make a few "friends" on LFS as long as u behave like a semi normall guy instead of a total nitwit
I can vouch for the seat, it lasts longer than any IKEA chair u will ever find and is reasonably comfortable. My little Golf II GTI from january '89 still has it's original seat and my back isn't broken yet.
Yes it's a bit old now, but it still survives blasts around Spa, Zolder and the Ring without throwing me out of my chair. It's perfect as second car and im looking forward to the day it becomes 20 so i can insure it as a classic-car and stop paying roadtaxes all together. :lovies:
Pres "N" till u see the nameslist, then look for the green S next to the player who sent his setup. Click it ,give it a name and from then on it will show up in your setuplist. (providing u are driving the same car ofcourse)
Why be so harsh on the fella ,it's not like tjoonink has ever been suggested before?
plus i think it's a good idea, just add a little twist to it...
U start out with a fuly "tuned" (bodykited) car when u buy your license and every year that passes one part will disappear so after 5years u have a normall looking car.
Also make it so every new user has a standard car and per year that passes they can tune it, really tune ; not slap on bodykits, so it has 5%more HP/grip/torque/speed(add choices depending on what u want).
So the new players will all be driving about in cars with huge bodykits and no power while the longtime members get guaranteed wins over said newbies in normall looking cars.
Also have a Uber tune that is reserved for the devs so we can recognize them online when they pass us at mach 4.
Sounds good ,doesnt it?
Ps. Anyone who doesnt add a +1 to my suggestion is either stoopid or a tjoonink-hater.
edit : Note that if your sarcasm meter doesnt rev over 8k rpm ,it will probably break and cause u to take this post serious. :revs:
That logitech rumour is over a month old and it seems nothing has come from it.
Ms resurrecting their own controller brand can be seen as a quite strong indicator that the Logi buyout fell through, so they decided to go for the next best option.
Shotglass ,ive worked in Thailand and the Philippines and their woman come pretty close to the ideal u describe.
As long as u dont cheat on them at least..else u might wake up willyless one morning, something our so called emancipated women would never dare.
edit for ontopicness : i am a chaotic person i guess ,my desk is a mess (well according to others) and so is my room. The only things i have order in are my wallet and keys..always know where they are.
As anecdote, my mum "messed out" my schoolbackpack once because it was so messy...but when i had to search for my books in school it took me ages to find anything. In my own mess i always know where each and every thing is for some reason. Needless to say i was quite annoyed with it and told my mum to never do that again...i was so mad i still remember it today:uglyhamme
If u have cop friends it's easy.
Let the girl print out her IM history and go to his house saturday afternoon with one of those cops(in uniform ofc!). Dont let him know it's a friend, just let the cop do the talking. Cop tells him U filed a complaint against him last week for stalking and threats of violence. Have said cop show him the printed IM-history and ask if it's his ..if he says no, cop notifies him that they allready checked with his ISP and that lying will only earn him a trip to the office for some explanations. Have cop give him a standard cop-lecture and a warning that if anything happens to u he will be expected at the office.
If the guy still lives with his parents it should cause some trouble if they open the door and i doubt he will be stupid enough to scratch your car after it.
things to watch..DONT let him find out it was fake..so dont tell the whole school, maybe just your friends who can be trusted. (he will go tell everyone what a wuss u are for going to the cops..dont be tempted to show u arent a wuss and tell the truth)
Dont look too smug while at his door, cop shouldnt be smiling either ..just all business and seriousness.
The guy will prob try and give his side of the story and say u kicked him in the balls and whatnot, but since the cop is on your side it wont matter.
Other solutions are;
-humiliate him so bad that he wants to cry (as in stuff his head in the toilet at a bar, pick him up with two guys and hang him off a bridge over a river,etc)..then tell him u will leave him alone if he leaves u guys alone.
-kick his ass badly (not advisable though)
-ask him to repeat his threaths in your face..if he does, give him a nice black eye. One hit and walk away..dont get angry or emotional, just make it clear that u aren't to be messed with.
For suprise effect ask it verry calmly with your both hands in your pockets..dont look threathning..they will usually feel smug and repeat their threats with a smile (especially with a few of their friends nearby) Once he does ,give him a quick whack to the jaw or eyesocket and pocket your hands again..if u do it right they wont have seen who hit them and ask "hu who did that??" and u get something extra to laugh over afterwards. (especially rewarding if u see them rub their cheek hours later or if said cheek is red for a day or two)
-anything else u can think of
It feels more like highschool antics to me..but if he's acting like that i guess a small dose of childishness on your side might solve it
My vote goes to fighting it out on the schoolyard, and whoever gives in is a noob.
Oh and if teachers manage to break the fight up, u are both noobs.
Fight!
Ha funny, reading this thread while thinking about IL2 and then the two last posts (if i type fast enough..probably 4 by now) mention it.
My previous job had one guy who was a total FS geek. He brought a laptop and an old stick to the ship to "practise" the flights he would do during his stint home. At home he has a whole cockpit with several screens and flies long haul flights online with a payware plane (think a 747-800 or A3XX?) and real persons doing the towercontroll and weatherinfo. Slightly nuts imo but if it's fun to him, why not.
On the IL2 topic.
Play it regularly, but only on one set of servers as i can't stand most (arcade settings,icons,3rd person view, speedbar etc)
Anyone who plays it now and then should check the servers of ; http://warbirdsofprey.org/index.php ; simply love them..historic objective based maps with both pacific and european theatre covered, fullreal settings and good teamwork over TS.
And to comply with the screenshot request ill post a few of their friday night(US-time) bomberevents (free to join for anyone interested )
That RB4 looks horrible, if i want to see pictures of sharks i can open my photoalbum of South Africa and look at the pictures of great whites playing catch with sealpuppies.
I hope it turns out slower than a conventional design so they drop it soon, or the FIA quickly invents a new rule and forbids such hideous enginecovers. ( would be unfair to RB ,but it's their own fault for designing something like that)
Next thing we know they'll attach sharkfins to the top of the drivers helmets to make it more aerodynamically in tune with the rest of the car. ( even if I'd love to see Coulthy pose for a Pr-photo like that )
Saw this yesterday and had me thinking about safety too , when u see the rows and rows of people..just imagine a car rolling.
Totally Offtopic : Kev, i know alot more about u then u think. Thank that crazy ex of yours who hired me to keep an eye on u, so deleting posts wont save u.
*get's hold of Kevs number and texts: hey mate want to come drink a pint with us this evening? i know u have to work tomorrow. But we will go home early ,just a pint or two and ull be home by ten. Might even be able to offer u a spliff that we can smoke on the way home..for old times sake eh?*
edit : hush dustin ,we all know he "works" :P from home, but since he isn't used to drinking (read another thread for proof) i doubt he'll be able to work the day after drinking and chasing Connie Montoya. (who really is the toiletlady at the pub..but dont tell him!)
Long live hangovers!
Im afraid they arent the same thing. I can imagine Scawen coding all these dynamic things at once and 50% of the userbase comming here to complain about how the game became unplayable.
If a simple graphicsupdate of South City allready causes problems for some, i can't imagine their Pc's coping with several dynamic additions at once.
Plus the fact that we would have to wait months or years for it all to be finished and then implemented.
So id rather see Scawen add these things one by one, as his schedule permits and the average persons hardware improves slowly
Just want to pitch in and give another vote to implement sand and other irregularities before rain.
Rain is a far less frequent ocurrance during a season than dirt on the track.
If it can be implemented so sand gets blown on the track by the wind, and cars who go offroad leave some sand behind for X meters (similar to the allready implemented dirty tires) it would make the racing alot more interesting even if u know the track inside out.
Even oil from damaged engines and gearboxes or changing grip over time on the racingline and marbles offline are more important simwise then rain in my opinion.
