hello!

just wondering. certainly not the first one to want or talk about this.
but
so many good mods out there.... when is "the one" mod coming out? the mod that could make lfs leagues take off as a true racing show.


the day lfs broadcasts its league races just like those LFS stcc movies (race video made as real life broadcast <- see here) to any person with lfs installed who wishes to see, its the day sponsors become viable, and it may take sims to another level. seen as a sport. Right now this its only fun to the racers who are racing, not sponsors or audience, because they cant even see the race. So its a game to the gamer and not to the fan.

So, a simple program made to catch all packets from the race server and broadcasting them, with another simple program made to catch those broadcasted packets and sending them to our LFS game, perhaps as a server on our Lan we can pick to see. Like a replay, a live replay.

who's the man to come up with such a beauty?

...there could be a director mode built in LFS as a server option, with access to many TV-like cameras set around a track, cameras set to give the proper TV feel (f1, btcc etc) and a league member seeing thumbnails of those cameras and directing the tv broadcast, with perhaps some helpers to keep some cameras dynamic. Then the little program could broadcast the live-edited race to our little receiver program.

well, this last part cant be just a mod. So this makes it an official request for scavier future consideration

my dfp is working ok with richard burns

it should be more often, tha last 2 months only had 3 races... green rev, city long, Blackwood rev.

the last one was like 13 ppl :\ UFR should be in because it really makes the racing better for our class with more good drivers

gAg the_end cropsy had me under pressure the first 20 laps, specially gAg...

but 180sx got his act together and by lap 45 or something he was only 1second behind me! i didn't see it coming at all lol suddenly a guy 1s behind me. So the last 15 laps i had to go like crazy again (like when i was trying to shake gAg off my ass the first 20 laps) to keep 180sx behind and i managed to add 8 seconds to our gap... but man, the pressure is insane with fast guys like these...
By lap 18 i was so focused in adding some gap to gAg that i made 1.16,86 out of nowhere lol just ~0.04s off my PB with r2's... its crazy, i coudn't do it on purpose if i tried again lol

so when's next? AS club i heard?

i did have great fun racing ATC-gAg (the only fight that lasted a bit)
seeing the replay i dont know how i keeped up with him, because in corner exits he was ~5km/h faster than me.

and how about Luis and quicksilver race lol, crazy first half

sorry for the ass rubbing THE_END... wasn't my intention to pass that corner (would be stupid), but to exit as close to you as possible. Missdjudged your out speed because i was ready to go full throttle right there...

and stoney, shit, i really thought i had the inside covered... sorry. If you tried to make your normal line its because i wasn't so inside as i thought i was. Sorry man



the race was ok while i had company (till i spunned them off...) then it was lonelly

i did loved the overtake i did on ATC_GAG on T3 from the inside in the first laps, and my R3 tyre stest lap also, that was only a 0.02s slower than my qualy R2 tyre fastest lap (???... it means missing practice perhaps)


FE Green rev was still my favourite race till today, really good.

my problem with RBR is that it doesn't support 16:9 widescreen :\

SO city long setup with cambers reversed work like a charm in BL rev lol

did 60 laps yesterday with the same tyres (r3 front r2 back) and they never went red.... But they were tough to drive in right turns when the thread gets thin after 40 laps because the left tyres were always blue! cold as hell... but left turns always at full speed during the 60 laps!

got to find a way to heat those left tyres. And to drop a second also lol

you guys use mods or run the game as it was made for these rallyes?

it was a very tuff race, but not in a good way.... uff

i didn't have a qualy setup ready to my driving style, so i modded my race set a bit... then going to the race i put the setup like it was before except one thing, the rear anti-roll bar. It was set at 22 instead of 75, making the outer front left tyre go red in less than 10 laps. oh the anger!!

so i was first place the first 28 laps, with the last 20 being a nightmare because of the wrong anti-roll, so i managed to give sweat and pain to keep 1st place to my first pit stop and i finally adjusted the camber to compensate.
During the pit stop a few racers went ahead of me so i dropped to 4th i think.
a few laps later those who passed me also pitted so i went 2nd.
I couldn't catch Three jump though loll... the camber adjust made it worst and the entire tyre was red this time lool

So at lap 54 i was still second place, but during those laps i crashed 2 times, making one forced pit stop. Cropsy was 15 secs behind me at that point but the front right tyre was red to death, and i hitted those famous "spring" rails causing my suspension to be ALL RED lolll..... cropsy Bo pringles went all ahead of me in the last 5 laps!
