during the short life of this thread, i already dropped 0.25s from my as club xfr gt PB (i confess, its a flaimbate, but based of true facts!)


there are setups out there that when i try them i cant believe how they stick to the ground in some corners, but you can tell its all honest work in them the moment you start messing with those setups and realise how they work.

unless there are driving AIM-Bots out there ahah

the stats thing is cool lol...
nice to see how we compare to others (accident laps should be removed from the statistics!! )

you should get paid (yes devs, hire the man - im not suggesting scavier coudn't do the job as well)

watching the replay, the most amazing racing was done between lap 10 and 20 with gentlefoot franky500 leprekon and me, all fighting really close...

the next one was gentlefoot and leprekon before Theafro came by them...

really good stuff.

also enjoyed the lapped franky making pressure to Dodge (who was 3rd) for many laps...

can someone post the replay? i dont have it on my laptop and i want to see some of it again

good race considering the track lol

i finished 7th....

started in 4th place after qualy, but an acci cought me a few laps later and i went to last place

So i raced like crazy to recover and i gained about 15 positions to reach 5th place, ahead of leprekon and gentlefoot, about 30 laps later!
And was still going fast but a rookie fellow thought blueflags meant "fag behind you" and knocked me out to an scheduled pit stop. still, not angry with you stu colditz!
So i lost my place to 7th behind leprekon and gentlefoot again :S

near the end i crashed into franky500 lolll.... sorry m8, but cars really dont brake in mid ar lol. Sorry again.

i found "slow" is the new "fast" in this track... those tight corners (aka rolling traps) are better made with really low throttle, just using the speed from the bridge with a good trajectory.

1.12.xx this way.. the safe way lol

i just hope i dont crash and take TheAfro with me like the last race lol

texture mod updates made by fans make the game alot better.... especially the road texture that only exists for the AS and Blackwood track with extreme high-rez! the game looks really good with that road.

its just soccer....

the other day some loosers went to midlandf1 forum to put monteiro down (and the portuguese fans) because of ronaldo (in a F1 forum!!!!!!!).......its pure hooliganism, i tell you, i dont feel safe anymore. some ppl kill for less these days.

i had a nice battle with Colt for about 30 laps, and managed to get to 9th before dropping to 13th after i had to pit (5% short on fuel) on lap 52

I'm not too fussed about my final position - I learnt a lot in the process and will be back for the next GP stronger than ever!

sorry for that.... i was 5th and suddenly i was driving a 2 wheel car (yep, the chinane lol) and rolled over. I restarted the car to leave the track but one car caught me (now i see it was you). sorry

i run lfs at 1152x864 6xFSAA 4xAniso 85fps (locked so sync with screen), and i had a slowdown to about 2fps for 10 seconds twice...

other than that, everytime i enter a server, half a minute later, the game locks for about half a second and it never happens again during that session (until i enter another server)

it didn't happen in pre-S-T-U patches

i assume hallen as the right answer. But then again, you could have checked if you were unlocked by going to the cars Menu and pick one

meatime make sure you do the normal guidelines, re-install the game and stuff, make sure that you enter hosts with the same version as you do etc

latelly i'm having loads of fun with cars i never drove before (not even in S1), the kind of fun i didn't get from faster car races. I drove the FXO first time yesterday and im in love with its races.

so, we have tons of tracks, tons of cars..... whats missing?

we have normal road cars, GTr's, SS...

i would like non-modern cars.... true beasts from the 80's and early 90's

fwd driving as changed alot imo... full accel in corners no longer keeps the car from turning. Before you would go straight, it didn't turn a bit! now it turns, its bad turning (as it should be), but it turns

ok not all, but way more than the LFS cockpit (you cant see a thing past the cockpit)
i'm kind of a tall guy, so i dont know what shorter guys see in their real cars... i see most of the front hood, thats why i choose the view i posted in my previous post

oh its not easy... but you wont feel claustrofobic trying to guess where the hood starts. In my real car i dont have to guess anything, i see it all from the inside. LFS (naturaly being on a 4:3 screen) doesn't provide me with that feeling, so, i compensate

for me, wheel view is more like "tradition" of car video games... but we, simulator guys, we have a wheel on your desk in front of us, right? so the cockpit view should be more upfront and just forget about showing the wheel.
