Lfs is still only made by 3 guys and all we have today took 4 or 5 years.
For the big companies, 5 years is enough to produce 3 generations of games, and we are still in ALPHA.

In the next 3 years, big names will be making way on what LFS helped to create in its best days.

changing tyre size, weight ratio or early toque curve will alter the behavior "personality" of the cars.
As i consider this the one thing to never change from any car we already know how to drive, i highly recommend to change things not linearly.
- limit how high a engine revs due to, say, increased engine resistance or aerodynamic resistance, but leave the early torque/hp curve intact. Not linearly.
I would try to save how the current cars enter, turn, and leave the corners, and change only the facts that dont alter this.
- Easy way out would be to limit the setup capability of x or y car. Putting limits on how much the rolling bar adjusts or how much soft the suspension can get. making the car less hotlappable

i suffer that from time to time. in STCC round7 i almost kissed the leader ass because he was using the same line as i was. You can see it in the broadcast.

its a different reality over the console world. Its a simulation compared to the rest they have/had. But like any other little kids, what they have "is" better than the neighbour's.

my frame rate is still steady as before.
vsync locked at screen hz (60), it drops to 40 with a full grid... its good on my end.

i would say make sure you have separate throttle and brake option activated on the g25 options. then go to the lfs FF/axis menu e see if the little yellow bars move when you press the pedals....
you make it sound like i was complaining.
anyway, too few ppl to test the new features (28ppl races).
With 12 ppl i didn't found any wrong... seems to be ok
no one is playing with this patch... only 20 ppl or so.

its fully functional.... down to the penny. You can create a psn account for all 3 territories if you want (i have one psn account for europe and another for usa).
The only thing you have to do is to buy a power cable to fit your country plug, because ps3 power supply is universal (and internal, no power brick as x360)
my only doubt is if bluray movies you buy from the oversees will work in the imported ps3.
About the wheel, only if the games support it. If you have a logitech, it will play if the game supports it.
About linux, sony only allows access to one of the memory pools and cell processor. No graphics accelerator. Its good to run internet and office applications. It also plays divx and etc, but i would wait for sony to give access to rsx first.
