yes, i do it with DFP wheel + thrustmaster FF GT pedals....

there are options for that in LFS... change shifter type from sequential to "shifter"

during the short life of this thread, i already dropped 0.25s from my as club xfr gt PB (i confess, its a flaimbate, but based of true facts!)


there are setups out there that when i try them i cant believe how they stick to the ground in some corners, but you can tell its all honest work in them the moment you start messing with those setups and realise how they work.

unless there are driving AIM-Bots out there ahah

texture mod updates made by fans make the game alot better.... especially the road texture that only exists for the AS and Blackwood track with extreme high-rez! the game looks really good with that road.

i run lfs at 1152x864 6xFSAA 4xAniso 85fps (locked so sync with screen), and i had a slowdown to about 2fps for 10 seconds twice...

other than that, everytime i enter a server, half a minute later, the game locks for about half a second and it never happens again during that session (until i enter another server)

it didn't happen in pre-S-T-U patches

god i hope the U patch gives its place to V quickly...... because i just had an heart attack with this topic

i assume hallen as the right answer. But then again, you could have checked if you were unlocked by going to the cars Menu and pick one

meatime make sure you do the normal guidelines, re-install the game and stuff, make sure that you enter hosts with the same version as you do etc

latelly i'm having loads of fun with cars i never drove before (not even in S1), the kind of fun i didn't get from faster car races. I drove the FXO first time yesterday and im in love with its races.

so, we have tons of tracks, tons of cars..... whats missing?

fwd driving as changed alot imo... full accel in corners no longer keeps the car from turning. Before you would go straight, it didn't turn a bit! now it turns, its bad turning (as it should be), but it turns

ok not all, but way more than the LFS cockpit (you cant see a thing past the cockpit)
i'm kind of a tall guy, so i dont know what shorter guys see in their real cars... i see most of the front hood, thats why i choose the view i posted in my previous post

oh its not easy... but you wont feel claustrofobic trying to guess where the hood starts. In my real car i dont have to guess anything, i see it all from the inside. LFS (naturaly being on a 4:3 screen) doesn't provide me with that feeling, so, i compensate

for me, wheel view is more like "tradition" of car video games... but we, simulator guys, we have a wheel on your desk in front of us, right? so the cockpit view should be more upfront and just forget about showing the wheel.

Btw, has the UFR ot faster? I was racing XFR and UFR on AS North and when I cought some UFR's they kept up well on the straight and wern't as easy to get past on the straighs, if so, thats cool.
