I *Think* people are complaining against balancing the two cars in question. I would see no problem if servers like Redline were open to both cars, while telling people they obviously won't be directly competiting against one-another in terms of outright performance.

Quote from 128MB :Is this a total new car? How fast will it be? Faster than the FOX? Or is it going to replace that?

Slightly slower than the FOX, ~140hp motorcycle motor vs the ~190hp motor of the FOX. The FBM will be somewhat lighter, and shorter wheelbase than the FOX. Apparently the FBM won't have the downforce producing under body aerodynamics of the FOX, when added to the two other main differences should make it a very engaging drive on the tighter courses.

The last Patch had 750 people on the forums at that time. Totally unneccessary too, as its an auto-patch feature now.

Judging just by there being only ~350 people on the forum, we've got to get more people here so Scawen will release the patch. I heard he won't release for less than 800 on the forum this time... (rumor mill anyone???)

Sweet goodness... This will be fun.

Hopefully the class parity will be such that the fox's (foxes?) won't be continually punted off the track.

Looking forward to this one!

Quote from mrodgers :I'd love this option as well, for any crashers out there on the server. They crash, and through force feedback, the get the feeling of the front wing ripping off and smacking them in the forhead

I'm really glad I wasn't the only one to catch this. I too want to feel the wing through my hair.

Back On Topic: I do think when cresting a hill or bottoming a valley, you have to be very in-tune with the FFB to feel the corresponding decrease or increase in steering weight.

Have not seen this show yet, sadly. Looking forward to it though, surprising to hear Alex didn't get the tall gene from his pops.

Agreed, I could not justifiably promote one product over the other without first-hand experience with both first. (Both are big commitments for purchasing, especially without said first-hand experiences)

Apparently Frex has/had (maybe?) something similar to this design. They, at one point, claimed the full motion platform like Force Dynamics would do little more than upset your equilibrium.

Who's up for attatching one of the CXC's onto a Force Dynamics?

Quote from SamH :That looks like fun! Although the seat and the wheel are separated, the seat moves but the wheel doesn't.. doesn't that make it feel like your seat isn't bolted down properly? I think I'd feel like I was clinging on for dear life!

The Theory behind it is that moving you via the seat (seperate from the wheel) more accurately recreates the illusion of G-forces on your body. You have to twist your neck to keep your head in-line, similar to how you might have to IRL.

No-idea if this is true or not, but that's how they market it.

It's not a Core 2 Quad E6600. E6600 is the Dual Core part. Q6600 is your chip.

35% has to be about the lowest winning percentage possible. Sucks to go on the wall of blame with that, especially since 42% think it was both or a racing incident.

Ouch, missed the cuttoff... But I'd be torn between both of them, racing incident, and driver A. A was Very aggressive in "finishing the pass", eventhough B was still there.

Pretty neat!

Agree with some video thoughts, you need real time to appreciate the true time lapse between the starters.

Perhaps (?), maybe just one representative from the TBO and GTR classes? They seem to loose time fighting one another through the lap.

I agree that the finishing situation at AS GP (rev) would be ideal, but it was neat to see the race happen on FE Black.

Good Work Guys!

Core Temp was always lower than PC Probe on my 4800+.

Stupid But -> Have you verified that the Fan is indeed running?

Speed Set -> You might have screwed up the speed fan settings on either the Asus PC Probe (return to defaults?), the Mobo, or even the Zalman if you use the manual setter.

Not much fun with a Hot CPU.

Good Luck

Quote from BlueFlame :No, it's the same in the UK, Japanese cars still have the reputation of cheapness, but unlike the US, the UK don't hold grudges.. That is why the metaphor you used about Kia stands, because it is the same in the UK too.

Sorry but it is the truth, we are all on the same mountain in regards to the branding images of Japanese cars in Europe and America so that's not the real reason behind Acura and Infiniti.

Lexus is different, because they do carry across some Toyota models, but most often than not, they have made they own executive cars, so IMO they are a totally different brand to Toyota or at least an semi-independant faction, interms of development and design and Lexus is the only company we get over in the UK that is branded as one of these 'image' manufacturers.

I'm suprised it's not the same for German cars over there, but the Germans didn't attack America, the Japanese did.

Dude, you're wrong.

If you were right then we would have the same "issues" buying German cars. But we don't.

It's why the VW Phaeton fails miserably, the car doesn't match the brand.

No-one is "fooled" into thinking Acuras, Lexus, and Infiniti are not Japanese. Its just an upscale version with branding to suit the cars.

Quote :The Infiniti brand was introduced in the United States in 1989. Its purpose back then, as it is now, was to create and sell premium vehicles in America that wouldn't have otherwise fit in with Nissan's more mainstream image.

That's awesome. I really wonder though, coming from a G25, focusing alot on the feedback through your hands. Would a motion rig like that just be sensory overload?

Very strange that the "new" 8800 GTS will retain the 256-bit interface of the G92, and come with (probably) 512 or 1024MB of ram, giving it a slower bus than the 320-bit G80 GTS.

Regardless, the GTS is supposed to trump the performance of even the 8800GTX, so we can presume that a new (or at least refreshed) flagship GPU is somewhere near in the pipeline.

Quote from BlueFlame :And the reason for them not wanting japanese cars? Yes people, it's because of World War 2...

Wrong. It's branding and image.

Honda and Toyota initially came to America with very affordable small cars (mopeds in Honda's case). Thus American's related them to small, afordable cars.

It was difficult for them to shed the image of "cheap", and their more expensive models didn't sell well. They then created upscale brands of Acura and Lexus to shed the "cheap" image.

Imagine now if Kia came out with a car rivaling the Mercedes S-class in price. It would tank.
