Quote from Chemwspa :i told you i have the 11 version,why should I upgrade the 9 version,why i don't have the 9 !!! my pc directx is 11 .

The fact that DX9 is not DX11 means that they can actually be updated separately.

It also happens on Firefox. You have to click while the image is changing though.

This is a known issue, caused by the recent switch to DirectX 9 and the new way the game handles transparent textures.
We have to cope with this little annoyance for now.

Quote from Flotch :Yep, I notice that there is still no words about cars that would (yes, who knows maybe there will be none) come in S3 ... ^^

There are S3 cars confirmed for many years now, we just don't know any details about them.

I guess his problem is the missing car and track on the right, not the licensed content. Unfortunately I don't have any piece of advice if that is the case.

Quote from vrajunar25 :Release that in demo version would make us demo racers happy.

Do you realize that their intention is to sell licenses and not to bring demo users everything they want? xD

If you are using manual clutch, try to lift your left foot slower.

Anyway, in addition to what Flotch said, you can wait until your RPMs are lower to reduce the impact of downshifting. Sometimes shifting 2 or even 3 gears in a row is better than maxing the RPMs in each downshift. It varies on car to car, driving style and even track surface and race line.

Not really, you'd need an external program fiddling with your inputs to the game.

The game changed the way it handles textures, that's true. My statement is still true, the game now asks for square textures.

Quote from cargame.nl :You probably use custom textures.

Solution; don't use them or give them proper dimensions.

Quote from CZE :Hey.THX for Info...but i try resize it to 512x256 but still have same problem...only 512x512 is working or original.

Erm...that's right, you can't do whatever the hell you want. You must do what the game asks for.

So glad to have helped you

I only have two guesses at what could causa that behaviour:
A) Profiler is messing with your setup due to the new exe file.
B) you have some script in LFS that you are not aware of while testing.

Emulate the mouse through your joystick's driver. You probably could make a profile only for LFS so it still works well in other games.

Just click the tab "Axes / FF" and reassign the axes.

Quote from shmall719 :yea it would be interesting to try one out, but even at 150mph and 60fps you get an update every 3 feet, so 120 would be every 1.5 feet, 240 might be over kill at every 9" unless you are flying a fast jet I guess, I will try once I have upgraded the rest of my PC first, as with LFS I can get 1000 fps already lol so an updated picture for my mind every 2" getting a bit silly now

At 60 fps you have an update every 16 miliseconds, reducing it to 8ms at 120fps sounds nice. From 8 to 4 maybe nobody would see the difference.

If we could only see 60 fps we wouldn't need the Rift to work up to 90fps in order to avoid getting sick

I have never tried a 120fps monitor, but I'm sure I would see the difference compared to a 60fps one.

Try shift+Z, it makes the cursor not visible while on track. It doesn't affect menus, but who knows if it may solve your problem.

Arg, too slow haha

I have not understood a single word in that sentence. Could you please rephrase it?

Astonishing texture. It has so much detail that I miss the wear indicator in the grooves hahaha (I know, early test)

Quote from Victor :It's a shame people now start to think i don't care. I've always cared, but since LFS's income got so low due to inactivity I had to find another full time job which is keeping me extremely busy these days, leaving very little time left for LFS. And I also want to spent some of my free time as actual free time every now and then, otherwise what's the point of life? Also, if there are more important things that need fixing, then I'll look at those first.
But items that are posted in the bugs section will be looked at, when I have time.

Sorry if I sounded a little harsh, wasn't my intention. What I found weird is that nobody of the usually helping people posted in my bug thread, Flame and you do so well your job that I got too used to get inmediate help and solutions

Quote from 5tag :Cars we wanna see in S3

If I "go to first unread post" from my subscriptions page the actual last post from "yesterday, 0:56
by McGherkin" is not displayed. There are 50 posts displayed for me on page 87 (#4301-4350).

I'm also suffering it, but nobody seems to care

The forum tells me that I have unread posts in this thread: https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/1917-Cars-we-wanna-see-in-S3/unread

That url resolves to this one: https://www.lfs.net/forum/post/1872524#post1872524

The problem is that this post doesn't seem to exist in the thread, so I end in the last page, the page is at the top, and the new posts icon is still present.
