This is correct on the new site

If only this site had been launched 5 days earlier this bug report wouldn't exist

That function was disabled, it looks like something is still enabled casusing the bug. The best solution would be to have everything active again rather than fixing this hehe

Quote from Matrixi :old BMW's even have up to 1440. It's nothing special in real life, if anything, 720 degrees of LFS street cars is unrealistic.

Those numbers looks like screen resolutions, we need a 4K wheel

Adding to what Chriship said, it may be someone else whom is losing connection, in that case when that drivers disconect you would see a "stash recovered" message.

AFAIK that warning is not the cause of the loss of connection, it is the consequence.

Why is everybody talking about LeapMotion instead of control VR?

Quote from luchian :Joke aside, "live" driver animation would be pretty awesome. And to top it off, visible by others in MP . The ultimate sim. (and no more: when should driver reach for the gear lever, if animated shift).

Yup, I'm dreaming of that since I bought my first wheel. Having the ability to use your hands to make some gestures would be awesome.

Quote from sermilan :Why would you need this for LFS? Driving without the actual wheel?

I can think of a couple of hand gestures I'd like to do to other drivers after some manouvers

Glad to hear that, hope you enjoy some proper racing now

Quote from willec :It would also be great to get support into the full version to be able to upload Oculus times to LFSWorld.

Test patches are not allowed to upload hotlaps, just in case they have some advantages over the final release (or previous).

First of all, I got the feeling that you are using a really old version of the Profiler. And uncheck the combined pedals for god sake! xD

It is as simple as setting the wheel compentsation to zero in LFS (second line, just below your red circle)

Quote from tailing :I actually wouldn't mind some way to have my monitor sleep whilst in the rift, seems a bit of a waste of energy and even LCDs can develop some image persistence over long periods.

They have a button to switch off, you know?

Maybe your mouse is on the monitor and you weren't able to meke it come back? Try Ctrl+C so your mouse can't get out of LFS' window.

It is called security. If someone steals your account that's the way to lock him out so he cannot keep using your account forever

Quote from shimon-ifraimov :the asphalt road i used in KY and WST i think are the same as used in revolution pack for FE , dont really remember where i found that great road texture.

He at least mentioned it, though it is pretty much hidden.

It looks to me like just the boot order is wrong, though I cannot help you accesing the BIOS if the usual key does not work.

My only suggestion is to unlock the game, close it, and then reboot the computer. This worked for me when I had a similar problem many years ago.

I also moved my user folders location, but LFS does not write anything there.

Quote from boothy :
If you want to get to class A (not sure why, unless you really want to drive the FW31 in official sessions and get a Pro licence), it's easy to do. Once you get to class D there's 3 series using free cars, then simply get up to C 4.0 and you can drive class B.

I'd suggest signing up with the free 3 month trial which ends in October, to take you well past black Friday: http://www.iracing.com/nurburgring1000/ (use referral [email protected] if you do sign up )

Reaching Class A looked the logical way, but now that I see the schedule I see that I don't want to race there

I'm going to read the schedule until I know it by heart checking what content is more appealing to me

If I ever register I'll try to keep your referal in mind, I hope not to forget it xD

Quote from Alric :Oh sorry, I took 3d mirrors to mean they have depth & display the world in 3d not just what they display in 2d relative to our 3d head position.

I'm pretty sure Scawen confirmed the positional tracking for the mirrors, but I was not able to find that post. It might be me the one who is reading too much in his words though.

Hi guys, I'm checking some info/facts about iRacing to be able to decide if it is worth it, but I'm missing some information, so hopefully you can help me a little bit.

First of all, I'd like to confirm some information that I have read (from official documents published in 2010...):
- If I'm not misinformed, once you reach B license you got $10 each season (that is $40 a year), plus $5 for your account anniversary, so a 1 year subscription could be almost free (if purchased on Black Friday for example).

That is important, because it would wipe the subscription cost out of the equation (at least after paying the first year).

My other question is about content:
- I have read some guide about how to reach as fast and cheap as possible license A (not that I agree this is the funniest way to do it).
- I have looked in a million places what content is used, but I can only find hints of what the rookie series used back in 2012...
- I landed at this site, but I get the feeling that this is completely unrelated to what I'm looking for, am I right?

So, if anyone could share what content the official series are using it would be of great help.

PS: I'm aware that iRacing has a strong NDA, but I find ridiculous that none of that information is available to possible newcomers...

Quote from Alric :I just noticed the view in the mirrors stay the same when you move around. Hopefully there is a way to adjust their view relative to where our head is positioned when working on 3d mirrors. Still flabbergasted every time I go `in` lfs with the rift, amazing! It still hasn't lost any wow factor yet & I'm thinking my triple screen setup has now had its day!

It's on the pending work stack

Quote from Scawen :Thanks for the feedback.

Chromatic aberration reduction is not yet coded (along with various other things including 3D mirrors).

Quote from Scawen :No problem, that would definitely be an option if it is implemented.

The highest priority things are:

- Chromatic aberration correction
- LAG when vertical sync is enabled

The most interesting thing for me is the 3D mirrors.

Quote from Scawen :
P.S. I certainly haven't forgotten the 3D mirrors, they are the most interesting thing on my list!

Quote from nacim :I don't know why everybody is talking about going DirectX10+ or OpenGL. Scawen don't have time for this, and it can't be possible alone. And, he doesn't want to change because he don't want to loose Windows XP compatibility (&Mac + Linux) and he dosen't use full power of DX9. We want new content, not useless updates just to remove compatible devices.

OpenGL works in EVERY OS. While it is true that the change would involve a huge amount of time redesigning the game it won't imply a lose of support for WinXP or any other OS. In fact, the game could run natively on Linuis and Mac if the appropriate changes are made.

Reinstall the game. That's the first and easiest thing to try.
