I'm starting to see a trend that AI was better before the online became the main part of a game.

Viper Racing had a great skill to avoid you, whatever you were doing (slamming the brakes, driving backwards...).

F1 Challenge had a real fast AIs, though they weren't that agresive attacking you.

Now we have...Forza? It is not that far from LFS IMO

Oh, thought you only got one message with that error.

Probably a corrupted skin. Delete RB4 skins (the latest ones) from skinds_x and maybe from skins_y too. I think after that LFS will work fine.

Did you updated your RB4 skin recently?

Yep, specially on this weeks video, they kept talkin 10 minutes about their event at Rockingham Ring...

I know it does not tell anything new, but as is not common to ISR to talk about LFS I thought it was worth a post here.

I hope so, but as I hightly doubt Scawen will unveil any date it could be a bit..."the same report as always". I would be glad to be proven wrong

That's not a Momo problem. That is a faulty wheel. It has happened to G25, G27, Momo....

It happens when a gear slips on its shaft due tou force feedback forces. You don't need to worry about that, is not a common issue. If it were Logitech would have stopped to sell those wheels.

Quote from Hahmo :What about you Google the answers instead of asking us obvious questions..

270 is the max degree rotation, you can reduce it in the Logitech profiler.

I don't belive you can change it. At least not with the profiler I used back then.

I had that wheel before my G25, I miss the thick rim, but that's all. Although it was a great wheel at his time now it is just an old 'crappy wheel'.

Quote from CZE :How much UPD or TCP is good...??? One time i got 10-80 UPD(TCP) but other time i got 500-940 UPD(TCP) but i dont know what number mean....Can somene tell me what is this?

They are miliseconds (also known as ping/lag) since your game sends info until the reply from the server arrives (or was it not a round trip?, can't remember now).

Quote from nikopdr :
It isn't really that useful but it would save time to join track and use /w fuel command.

Oh god, my whole life is wasted. I've been spending the last 6 years minimizing and going to LFSWorld to check that and there was that simple command to do it??

The worst part is that as I've read the manual quite time ago I probably knew of its existence

Quote from Neilser :OMG, who knew? I thought I had RTFMd but never spotted that one. Where did you find it? Nice...
(Unless you're suggesting that as an improvement?)

In our league we used that implementation to punish people who didn't obbey the rules. If it gets changed to username then this method would be useless and an InSim program (that we already have) would be needed.

Though I already agree it's odd to be that way in the first place

Wasn't this already aproved for the S3 version with its realistic and extreme setups?

LFS came to my life banck in 2004 into a GameLive magazine, it included a disc with demos of several games, one of them was LFS.

It instantly showed its potential, I was already into simulators but LFS was just better. 2 years later (2006) I got my internet conection, and then the slow switching phase frome F1 Challenge to LFS as my main game took place

Quote from DANIEL-CRO :There are no potentiometers in shifter they are used in pedals, ...

It has 2 potentiometers

Yup. These wheels like to disguise as broken so you buy another one, but in fact, most of the times the only thing you need to fix it is spare time and a screwdriver to clean the "broken" part

You probably just have to clean the potentiometers. Usually just opening the shifter and blowing it a bit solves the problem.

Or maybe the potentiometer located on the side (back & forward moves) got loose and need to be repositioned on its place.

It is a customized version from our community, it just has minor changes to serve us better, but it's not really more useful for everybody. Trust me, it is not worth to share it

I'm using a little bit modified version, but it has no problems at all with the test patches.

Quote from Omar1 :cheers mate, just been trying with Richard burns rally but the resolution doesnt appear, strange - all the usual stuff came up

Just edit its cfg file. RBR only supports a few resolutions, but you can set whatever you want. And don't forget the aspect ratio, though that is a bit tricky to calculate, search for a calculator.

Quote from DANIEL-CRO :Many years ago you had to earn 200 points to drive XRT in demo, but there were only complains about this, so its removed since X or Y? version.

I really miss those points requirements, though the system was pretty "buggy". The file that stored how many credits you had were in plain text, and you just had to do a few races of 1 lap against the AI to unlock the XRT

People complained, as they always do, but I found it useful for me (I did not even have internet back then, and it still helped me not to die in the XRT xD).
