With manual clutch I'm able to drop to about 500 rpm without stalling the car, though that usually happens during the outlaps, not on qualifying/race.
I managed to stall the car after a pit stop during a race (not once, but twice haha) due to bad timing on my footwork xD
If you are making an app for personal use then is not relevant to you, but is worth noting it in case someone with manual clutch uses it.
Well, use whatever suits your needs, obviously xD. I was just pointing out that it could cause false readings and mess with "auto switching on" kind of programs for example.
I'd go with a lower number for a more reliable check. 900 rpm can be achieved by releasing the clutch too fast. I think usually 400~500 rpm is the chosen figure for this .
And yes, checking rpm through OutGauge is the only way to check it.
Rather OLD bug. It's been happening since forever, Shift+R for restart, and you often enable the rear view at the same time that the vote is registered.
Try switching to TCP. While online, press 'N' key to open the connection list, and click on the 'UDP' button, it will turn red and change to 'TCP' (this can also be done pressing Ctrl+T).
This should resolve your issue, but it would be better to fix the UDP packets not arriving. Probably your ISP fault.
(I know this is not needed for a first iteration of the setup database)
- If you are using a known setup (the hash is on the database) your best times could be auto-saved.
- Setup uploaders could get some credit, because we'll have usage metrics, so we'll know what people upload the more used setups, for example.
- We could use the metrics to determine if a setup is for hotlapping/sprint/endurance based on taces done using them. If you see that is used lot of times for endurance, despite the uploader saying it is only good for sprint races, you would know that people find it still usable.
- We should be able to download, at least our own/team setups from inside the game. And add the notes field to the game interface.
- We also should be able to download our own skins automatically, instead of having to upload and copy/paste them in our LFS folder. (kind of off-topic but related to the suggestion above)
Save the whole folder, install LFS on the new OS, and paste the old folder over it. (Don't unlock it until you paste it, so you won't waste one unlock)
If the setups are not too old you just have to rename the files.
If they are 'ancient' they won't work, you can load them, but they would appear to be corrupted as vortech explains.
