OFFTOPIC but... if people want to view the effects of these kind of compensation/balancing calculations in physical objects one could do worse than to check a few James Bruton videos https://www.youtube.com/@jamesbruton/videos
^ *Per* Vehicle view AND control settings is a must have, but its surely already a planned task in future. Jfi in iRacing for example there is a global setting for controls and then a checkmark "use custom controls for this car" which lets you redo all controls for that particular vehicle. Would also be cool for the custom cam settings to be embedded per vehicle in the mod file. In iracing all cars have their own cams.
This however has nothing to do with test patch testing, i felt naughty :-)
Thanks, i or anyone using that site clearly had no idea! You should counter-argue by missing the point even further, so i can have a truly nostalgic moment here.
meanwhile i'll go lap xfinity at darlington using a realworld branded paint while your poetic is being waxed.
iRacing has this "solved" for decades... solution? Trading Paints.
An "indie" site that magically has inbuilt support from the game.exe itself, thus the game downloads all needed assets from a "3rd party".
I (or anyone else) could, just as an example, upload all lfs skins/artwork to that site and race in iRacing with lfs skins (adapted to iracing car shapes of course)
The trailer is fine and so are the possibilities it announces for sim, but imho it's hard to feel upbeat about whatever is laid on top of the subpar warping/netcode prediction/lack of pps/rotational-quirks/call-it-whatever-u-like substandard netcode that amazingly(!) was once better than this (when only inputs were exchanged and everything was locally calculated, predating udp iirc). After 2 decades to see the sim look like its being played on a 300 baud modem is sad for me (but more importantly to its target audience). Like having Ella Fitzgerald sing on a strangling chokehold.
At least in audio there is a mathematically generated beauty in its concept, even if the reality of it isn't acknowledgely fully satisfying (yet).
I did get some Stormworks vibes from the mod editors which can only be a good thing.
Public getting to peek on these limited open windows into LFS development may reveal questionable pace for some but also an undeniable and respectable long-lasting care that is also a positive.
ps: iRacing solved the "licensing" probs years ago, the smartass way, by having an external entity (but trusted, supported and promoted) do the "dirty" job. https://www.tradingpaints.com/showroom/filter/from=everyone,sort=popular,ad=DESC,pos=0 is a small resident external app that simply autodownloads every mod-able component needed in a race.
Live For Speed to me has always been developed inside William Morris' News From Nowhere. I had read it before helping Scawen and co and i always envisioned him like a character from that book. I love Scawen beyond his technical prowess with C++ and kitchen pipes. An example as a person.
CastAR solves this (and many other things) by allowing you to see Reality+VR
Imagine a real car where the windshield and windows are coated by a reflective screen. That material is where VR gets projected on. Rest, you see as is.
You can see a very early prototype here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3HGrclGkIE
Nowadays it is even better, and at 120hz btw.
Todd i have almost 1000 posts here. 1 is about a shop. i dont even have it linked on my sig. As u can see you aint a reference for me.
Just chill man, and enjoy Mr Greger Veble help. he seems like a nice man. nicer than you thats for sure. Maybe you can learn something
Mis-Quoting me must be an orgasmical high for you, however, i must confess, i dont feel the same hornyness. Did you know misquoting under different context is #1 tool of hipocrites?
If you need a mirror, ask somewhere else.
Who knows, maybe some classic Racing Legends joke will make the merchandise, in teddy bear format
STOP ! You're making too much sense and having fun the process!!! **** your brains even grasp the irony! NOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo....
Isn't that forbidden here?
having some fun doing some nice articles seems to disturb a lotta people. Seems like the product has an extra funny sideeffect.
i can almost hear them from here:
Omg he did a fun shop! OMG!!! lets lets... INSULT HIM
Lets forbid FUN from evere HAPPENING again in the sacred mausoleum of sadness!
sinbad, you're entitled to your opinion of the product of coz, but this thread is not about seeking revisional feedback to whats presented. sure u can still post your opinion on what u think of slogan or design but it wont make any difference to the product or those who seek it.
This thread just announces a product some might like. if you dont , no need to bother posting why u dont like it, coz it wont make any difference to that product in question. its a waste of time for the product itself. for me its not, i enjoy reading opinions.
who knows, you might like some future designs/slogans.
im not. i just said mods allow crap and you underlined it and confirmed it. thanks.
i think its great an omelet du fromage can come here and call me this or that. The fact you join him in the random ot insults is just descriptive of your character. I think its great that you post here.
Now i dont even have to paste how much u liked the nfsu?stfu! shirt before you werent allowed to explore it.
We all here, found that line very funny.
Keep up the show, casiotone.
You know i like those.
But that's exactly what i was told to do by the mods themselves instead of taking it to the next level, brawl heaven.
Yet now u complain i followed forum guidelines?
I'll try to make up for it in the future, just for you, in case even newer guidelines don't pop. Although im led to believe that, having dog or not, the beloved scrutiny will always exist.
To be frank poirqc, i don't know you from anywhere. Never seen you and never heard of you.
You post just proves mods here seem to allow atm, cowards with nothing to add, to post direct insults.
Other than that, feeble troll attempt. 1/10.
Hello!
The freespeech quakenet irc server channel #LFScentral starts its line-up of more wicked sim-racing oriented merchandise gear shop, with a classic.
NFSU?STFU! redone at 300dpi.
All content of this store is/will be done by me (NunoMaia).
Usage of the LFS logo i did, and images i did based on the game (like lfsplanets, for calendar) will not be used in this renegade shop products.
This is #LFScentral channel gear, not the oficial LFS shop. In fact, due to recent demands, next products shall prolly either be sim-racing oriented or have its focus on other sims.
