Mmmmm that scary that it decided to announce it without you finding out somehow. I hope winamp doesn't do it, I might not want people to know what I'm watching/listening too
I think it was 5.2 on level 1. Then about 3.2 on 2, 4.3 ish on 3 (going forwards) and 4.8 ish on the last (going backwards). Although that adds up to 17.5 so must've got some a bit wrong.
I like the idea of it and it's quite fun if you get on a good server with good people.
I wish there was one of the commercial football games that allowed you to just control 1 player like this instead of the whole team. I remember the euro 96 game by codemasters allowed you too I think you can on pro evo aswell but I don't remember it being much fun. I would prefer to be able to have better control over a single player rather than what I find to be the annoying control system in games like fifa and pro evo
I guess you could use one of the gear shift paddles for handbrake if you're using the shifter for gears Or shift with the paddles and use the shifter in sequential mode for handbrake?
For looking left and right you only need 2 in LFS because if you hold them both it looks behind over the shoulder of the button you pressed first.
For me 2 buttons on the wheel is fine. I think I prefer how it is with buttons out of the way on the shifter. Pitty there aren't buttons on both though so you could choose.
I think I'll probably get one then despite not really being able to afford one! I'd love to be able to play later on without waking up the whole street!
I got an act labs shifter thing but found I barely use it with having to have another wheel lying around somewhere to have a clutch pedal and all the messing about plugging it in. Aswell as needing space for 2 sets of pedals and them sliding away from each other while racing etc. This looks like the perfect all in one solution and should get me racing again
I went for another swivelly bit too. Not much money left though!
For 48 I got 912 by using tensioned cloth wrapped round the ball to flick it and a cloth catcher. Can probably save another 100 because I couldn't get it to flick far enough by just tensioning one of the lengths of cloth so I had to do one of the ones wrapped round the side aswell.
I'm on 9281 for the normal levels. There's quite a few where I couldn't work out how to do it properly so resorted to a big pulley type thing with weights on the end. Should be able to save some money on those ones! I like Extra 9
I think there are 10 extras. A new one seems to get unlocked per 1000 of spare money you have on the normal levels. There's definately at least 8 extras.
One disadvantage to this is that people like to keep several versions to play old replays. I guess it could be there but disableable. It wouldn't work for stopping cracks if this was the case though.
As Hyperactive says though there aren't that many updates so perhaps it's not really worth having. I personally would prefer not to use it.
lol. I guess warn is the wrong word. I think they did when the first S2 came out so people didn't have to check for release so much. I guess people would be checking at least daily for the updates anyway so it wouldn't make any difference this time.
If you do a search on google video for 'caterham knockhill' there's a little report alongside one of the other videos of that race. I think it seems to suggest stewards decided against the white car and deducted 12 seconds from his time unless that was another incident.
I agree that it was the white cars fault (well the driver...).
I just check when I notice something out of the ordinary like a drop in performance. There's nothing private or unretrievable on my computer so I don't worry too much.
